Chapter 72 - Help! I'm Being Honest!

When I teleported back to my room, the world hit me like a tidal wave I couldn't outrun.

I didn't even bother washing up.

I dropped straight into bed, shoved my face into the pillow, and let exhaustion drag me under.

My mind was a mess of static and countdown numbers, all tangled into knots I couldn't untie.

Sleep took me in seconds.

But when I opened my eyes again, it was that place.

White. Endless. Empty.

I didn't see the two figures from before. No woman with the breaking-heart smile, no man with the wicked smirk that crawled under my skin. Just a void so bright it almost hummed.

And right in the middle of it all: a mirror.

It stood on nothing, like it refused to obey gravity. I walked toward it because there was literally nothing else to do. My footsteps made no sound. Even my breathing felt muted.

I stopped in front of the glass.

Leonhart looked back at me.
