Chapter 232: Encounter with Darren and Hina (Part 3)
The lightning curtain completely enveloped the warship, the dazzling blue light and deafening groans making the large Navy ship seem like a tiny boat in the midst of a storm. It made the massive warship appear incredibly insignificant in the face of such natural force.
Hawkins, who was hanging on the clothesline along with his subordinates, witnessed such a terrifying celestial phenomenon and gaped in shock.
It turned out that special effects were often the best way to change someone's appearance and aura.
Eric , who had previously been seen as a scumbag in the eyes of the female sailors, now appeared as a mighty figure with great power and exceptional looks.
Countless electric currents surged into the sea, the heat generated by the electricity even making the seawater boil. The boiling seawater created massive steam, which quickly turned into mist, shrouding the entire Navy warship in thick white fog.
"Watch out behind you!" Rear Admiral Tsuru suddenly realized and warned her subordinates to be careful of Eric 's ambush.
"Whew~" She then relaxed again. If Eric truly wanted to kill them, he could simply use the thunder strikes to obliterate the warship, and there was no way she could stop that many lightning strikes.
With her Observation Haki, Hina sensed that the captured Hawkins Pirates' members were gradually losing their presence, one by one.
'The Dawn Pirates are here to rescue the Hawkins Pirates?! What's the connection between these two pirate crews? Even the pirates in the cells…'
Within the range of the Time-Devouring City , dozens of white arms stretched out from the pitch-black ground, pulling the Hawkins Pirates members, Hawkins himself from the clothesline, and the pirates locked up in the cells into the endless dark shadows.
"Darren Eric , you're not getting away!" Hina, sensing their movement with her Observation Haki, realized they were about to escape and immediately used [Shave] to quickly close the distance, extending her arm to grab Eric .
"Do you not want me to leave?" Eric chuckled, "Too bad you're a bit slow."
He swiftly moved to her side, grabbing Hina's right wrist and twisting her body behind her.
"Damn it!" Hina extended her left hand to create an iron shackle, attempting to bind both herself and Eric together.
"Whoa, really going all out." Eric was quick to react, extending his left hand and grabbing Hina's left arm tightly, causing the two of them to press close together.
"Eric -, everyone has been rescued, we should retreat..." Kurumi's voice came from the front, but suddenly stopped without further word.
The white mist formed quickly and dissipated just as fast. In the blink of an eye, the once thick fog cleared, and the surrounding battlefield became clearly visible.
All the female sailors, along with Kurumi, Rear Admiral Tsuru , and others, focused their attention on the two people in the center.
Hina's flushed face, which had changed due to the fight, was now seen by others as a sign of shyness. Eric 's left hand gripping Hina's left arm seemed like a lover's embrace from behind, and his lips so close to Hina's delicate ear were like the whispers of lovers...
Many of the female sailors: "Oh..."
Rear Admiral Tsuru now understood: 'So this mist was created for lovers to meet... Ah, the young generation these days...'
"Let me go!" Hina twisted her body forcefully, trying to break free from Eric 's grip, but it was interpreted by the others as her awkwardness after being caught.
The female sailors who knew Hina well realized that she wasn't using her usual phrases, showing just how flustered she was inside.
Hina's hips, wrapped in rose-colored trousers, became even more prominent as she struggled. They swayed back and forth, rubbing together with each movement.
Eric , just slightly taller than Hina, was positioned just right...
Ahem, any further and it would be getting too suggestive.
Little Eric bravely raised his head: "Were you calling me?"
'No, I wasn't!' At this moment, Eric was too afraid to move away from Hina's body, or else it would be a public disaster.
"What is this?" Hina, feeling something hard pressing against her backside, suddenly realized what it was and cursed, "You bastard!"
"It's not my fault!" Eric , who was already by Hina's ear, leaned closer again, "Who told you, this beauty, to shake around in my arms? Stop now, or we'll both be socially dead!"
At hearing this, Hina suddenly stopped struggling.
In the eyes of the female sailors, it seemed like Eric 's whisper had worked on Hina. Their previous guesses were now confirmed.
"Ah, Eric -," Kurumi raised her pistol and aimed at Hina's head, "Stay still, let me blow her head off."
"Wait..."
"Stop right there!" The female sailors who could still move rushed toward Kurumi, "We won't let you disturb this reunion for these two unfortunate souls!"
"You're definitely the noblewoman who forced them apart, making these lovers fight on the battlefield!"
"Exactly, just for a brief reunion, Eric even had to create a distraction by manipulating the weather."
"Ah, from today on, I'm going to pray for their love~"
'So, what on earth are these people talking about?!'
To them, Kurumi's actions at this moment looked like a jealous woman wanting to gun down her rival!
"Hehehe, what? Do you think you can win against me with numbers? 'We'!" Kurumi laughed mischievously, and shadows on the ground began to squirm. Out of these shadows, emerged multiple identical versions of Kurumi, crowding the deck.
"Hehehe."
"Hey hey."
"Let's play together?"
"Are you surprised?"
These Kurumi clones spoke and laughed with their own wills.
"This is... the reported ability of Kurumi's clones?" Rear Admiral Tsuru furrowed her brow, "Not only does she possess superhuman abilities, but she also has the ability to create life? An ability I've never seen before..."
Bang, bang, bang—!
The remaining female sailors who could still move were quickly overpowered and pinned to the ground, their hands twisted behind their backs.
"Damn it...!"
The pinned down female sailors could only groan in pain.
"!" Rear Admiral Tsuru was forced back by the crimson red spear that came sweeping toward her.
Finally, after suppressing the flames, Eric called out to Kurumi, "Kurumi, we need to leave!"
"Is that so? Such a pity, I guess we'll play again next time, 'we'."
"Ah, is it already over?"
"Shall we play again next time?"
Kurumi's many clones jumped into the shadows, and the shadows morphed into Kurumi's figure in the sunlight.
"Well then, goodbye." Kurumi gracefully lifted her skirt, then turned and elegantly jumped away.
Scáthach , blocking Rear Admiral Tsuru 's path, was enveloped in crimson lightning, charging into the sky and turning mid-air, flying back to the Fearless.
Eric released his grip on Hina's arms, "Next time we meet, you should be even stronger!"
His figure vanished before the Navy's eyes.
Silence descended upon the warship. If it weren't for the Dawn Pirates holding back, they would have been completely wiped out.
"Alright, cheer up, ladies," Rear Admiral Tsuru comforted her subordinates, "One failure isn't the end. Train harder, and next time we'll send them straight to Impel Down!"
"Yes, Rear Admiral Tsuru !" The female sailors responded loudly.
Hina stood silently, her gloved hands cracking from the pressure.
Rear Admiral Tsuru approached and comforted her, "Eric 's strength is almost on par with those three Navy monsters, you don't need to worry about his safety."
And so, Rear Admiral Tsuru took Hina's feelings of helplessness as the sadness of a lover parting ways.
"..." Hina opened her mouth but couldn't say a word.
Rear Admiral Tsuru , who had been single all her life and was long past the age of romance, shook her head and walked away.
Hina reached behind her, still feeling the warmth where Eric had been close, his breath lingering at the tip of her nose.
The intimacy from earlier had not only made Eric barely contain himself, but even Hina herself had become damp...
