Chapter 189: War with the Charlotte Family (4)
Kurumi raised her right hand. "Time-Devouring City !"
A black barrier appeared, weakening the enemy's movements and enveloping a large number of chess soldiers.
Kurumi's left eye's second hand was quickly turning backward.
"These guys can also replenish 'time.' Aren't they happy, 'we'?"
"Indeed," Kurumi replied, "I haven't had fun in a long time."
Hundreds of Kurumi clones stepped out from the shadows, startling the Charlotte family members who saw them.
"That's surprising, what kind of ability is this?" Amande, with a long neck, drew his sword, "White Fish," "But with this many, we can slowly cut them down."
The Opera quintuplets surrounded the weak-looking Akame, as if five elephants were cornering a small black dog.
"Hahaha, your opponent is us!" Opera laughed loudly, and white cream started pouring from his body. "Cream monster!"
His brothers raised their arms, wrapping Conqueror's Haki around them, getting ready to charge and turn Akame into a paste.
One of Red eyes was hidden in shadow, but her exposed black eye was staring directly at Opera.
"Your cream doesn't look very appetizing..."
"Buried."
"Got your opponent?" From the sky, Deidara, using his specially trained left eye, observed the confrontations below.
"Where are you looking?" Dacquoise leapt high into the air, drawing his gun, aiming at Deidara's back.
Deidara secretly threw a small explosive clay right in front of Dacquoise.
"What is this?!" Dacquoise's pupils contracted.
"Drink!" Deidara made a hand seal and detonated the explosive clay.
Boom!
Dacquoise, covered in smoke, plummeted to the ground.
"Dacquoise, brother!" Galette shouted, raising her hand to create transparent butter, wrapping Dacquoise in it and controlling his descent.
A quick check, and she sighed in relief. "Thankfully, he's not in any danger."
Then she raised an eyebrow, her expression cold, and glared at Deidara. "How dare you hurt Dacquoise, brother? I won't forgive you!"
"Hey, hey~" Deidara looked down coldly at the beautiful woman. "Who made him so weak? The Charlotte family is nothing impressive."
"What did you say?!" Not just one, but several Charlotte family members heard Deidara's mocking.
"I'll clean up all of you trash in one go." Deidara pulled out a C3, No. 18, and called out to the others in the Dawn Pirates, "Be careful, I'm about to throw something big! Hmm."
Before they could answer, he threw the explosive clay.
"This bastard, we'll make him pay when we get back!" Eric muttered angrily, not worried about the others getting hurt. Akame, the most vulnerable, was far enough from the spot where Deidara threw No. 18.
The giant doll expanded in the air and fell downward.
"This is—!" Katakuri's eyes flickered with red light. His fully trained Observation Haki allowed him to foresee the explosion in the next few seconds, which would result in Galette's immediate death!
"Galette, take Dacquoise and get out of there quickly!" Katakuri shouted, then kicked up into the air. The white sticky rice shot downward, aiming directly at the descending No. 18.
Hearing Katakuri's shout, Galette quickly dragged the unconscious Dacquoise and ran in the opposite direction.
"Crack crack"
Ice blades shot up from the ground, slicing through Katakuri's sticky rice.
"Your opponent is me!" Esdeath swung her sword, and the sword energy condensed into ice blades, shooting straight at Katakuri.
"You!" Katakuri swung his trident to shatter the incoming ice blades. Gripping the grass tightly with his left hand, he declared, "Flowing sticky rice!"
A large portion of the grass turned into white sticky rice, which Katakuri controlled to writhe upward, enveloping Galette and several other Charlotte family members. It kept thickening continuously.
Esdeath jumped off the now rice-covered ground. "Is this your Devil Fruit ability after awakening?"
"Drink!"
Orange spherical al flames released massive yellow light, illuminating everyone's faces.
Boom!!
The explosion was more intense than all the land mines combined, shaking the earth itself.
Deidara grinned, "That should have killed them. Hmm."
A large number of chess soldiers were sucked into the explosion and lay lifeless on the ground, while more soldiers were blown away by the intense storm.
"Hmm?"
In the explosion radius of No. 18, a corner showed a white sticky rice field, with small dome-shaped houses made from the rice.
"What is this?"
The sticky rice slowly wriggled, revealing the people trapped inside.
Galette had tears in her eyes, her voice trembling, "Brother..."
Katakuri stretched his left arm, now made of sticky rice, and pulled both of them to his side. "Calm down, I'll protect you."
"Mm..." Galette nodded weakly.
Katakuri looked grimly toward the sky, glaring at the bastard who almost took his sister's life.
"Tch, pretty strong, huh." Deidara clicked his tongue, looking at Katakuri, and forming hand signs, "Now then, I..."
Esdeath, with a murderous aura, said, "Deidara, this is my opponent." She had originally gotten an opponent, but then, one after another, people interrupted her one-on-one fight.
Deidara raised his hands in apology, "OKOK, I got it, Esdeath-sama." He directed the giant dragon to fly in the other direction, looking for an appropriate opponent.
"And you, stay far away!" Esdeath's deadly glare startled Galette, who was wearing a little devil's headband.
Katakuri said in a relatively gentle voice, "Galette, take Dacquoise and move away from here."
"Yes, brother." Galette hurriedly took Dacquoise and left the battlefield.
"Now that the troublesome people are gone, we can finally start..." Esdeath extended her signature blade toward Katakuri, and the two of them charged at each other.
…
"Looks like things are getting exciting over there with such a big explosion. How many people are you guys going to kill, huh?"
Opera swung a large amount of fresh cream toward the fast-moving Akame.
"Buried." Akame said only these words during the battle.
An eerie blade technique came from the side, aiming toward Opera's body.
"Take this!" The strong and flexible Charlotte Kontor raised his fist, aiming at Akame.
The assassin's instincts kicked in. Akame lowered her head, dodging Kontor's inevitable strike. The fist, about the same size as Akame, brushed past her sleek black hair.
"Buried."
Akame's figure flashed from in front of Kontor to behind him.
"Heh, my body is incredibly tough. Regular swords and knives can't harm me." Kontor smirked as he turned around to face Akame.
"Cut through."
"Hmm?" Kontor looked down, but due to his round body, he couldn't see the cut on his short right leg. A small amount of blood slowly oozed out.
"Heh!" Kontor sneered disdainfully. "I don't even feel pain. It doesn't affect my fighting!"
Unexpectedly, Akame didn't even glance at him and walked toward his other brother.
"Hey, are you that full of yourself?!" Kontor yelled angrily, raising his fist again to attack.
His younger brother, Cadenza, pointed at his body in horror, "Brother, what is that?!"
Black curse marks oozed from the wound, crawling around his body, slowly climbing into his thick brown beard, and toward his face, heading for his eyes.
The curse finally wrapped around Kontor's heart.
"This... this is..." Kontor's voice was full of fear. "Ah~ah!"
The other four brothers were shocked, "Brother (or younger brother)!"
