Chapter 5 - Ermes's Revenge

Half an hour later, scolding voices rang in his ears.

Lorence finally woke up.

"You bastard, slacking off here! Don't you want your salary!?

"Uh... what are you talking about? I clearly cleaned it very well." Subconsciously, Lorence reached out and pointed at the ground beside him, but when he turned his head, his eyes widened.

"How could this be!?

"I clearly cleaned it, there was only a little sand at most!"

Hearing Lorence still trying to argue, the Guard in charge of inspection sneered even more, "Then tell me, where did all these leaves come from?"

"Whoosh—"

Just then, a gust of wind suddenly blew in through the window, bringing with it a few more fallen leaves.

"Alright, I understand. I'll clean it again. Please don't deduct my salary."

"That depends on your performance, hmph!"

After the Guard left, Lorence first closed the window, then began to sweep up the fallen leaves on the ground.

"Speaking of which, why was I lying there, and my neck hurts so much." Lorence covered his neck with one hand. In a spot he couldn't see, there was a circular bruise, as if caused by a heavy blow.

However, this action of his was once again mistaken for slacking off by the Guard.

"You lazy fellow, if you dare to slack off again, you won't get paid today."

"Alright, alright, I know."

Forced to diligently clean the corridor, Lorence forgot about the sandbag incident.

This was exactly what Cain was happy to see.

Time flew by.

Unbeknownst to him, two days had already passed.

But what puzzled Cain was that Anastasia hadn't ambushed him these past two days.

"If it's Anastasia , after learning it was Jolyne Cujoh's request, he should have acted impatiently, right?" Cain couldn't figure this out.

To be safe, he decided to go to the Women's Prison to check first.

It would be even better if he could find Emporio's ghost room...

Five minutes later, Cain had walked from the Men's Prison to the main control building. Not far in front of him was the Prisoner Cemetery.

And the priest's chapel was in the building next to the Prisoner Cemetery.

So Cain wasn't planning to stay here for long.

But just as he was about to continue walking forward, a faint sound reached his ears.

"It sounds like a woman's scream." Cain 's nose twitched, and his brow gradually furrowed. "There's also a faint smell of blood in the air. Did the prisoners get into a conflict?"

Conflicts among prisoners often occurred in Green Dolphin Street State Prison, so Cain was not surprised.

However, when he passed the entrance of the cemetery, he found that the iron gate of the cemetery was already locked, and all the sounds and the smell of blood were coming from inside.

Silently.

Cain slowly moved his steps, trying his best not to attract the attention of the people inside.

This place was very close to the chapel, and he didn't want to expose his Stand's secret here.

Inside the Prisoner Cemetery.

Sports Maximum , who had become an invisible corpse, was gripping Ermes's neck, trying to pull her up.

"It's all because of you, you stinking woman! How dare you do this to me! I will never forgive you!"

"Splash—"

Countless streams of sewage flowed from his arm. Sports Maximum 's face was ferocious. Not long ago, this woman had used her Stand ability to drown him in a filthy sewer pipe.

The foul-smelling sewage had completely taken over his body.

"I'll use your brains to rinse my mouth!" Sports Maximum opened his mouth and bit towards Ermes's skull.

He had already lost his human morality and wisdom.

At this moment, all he thought of was revenge.

Ermes's body, however, was held suspended in mid-air by a group of invisible corpses, her limbs unable to exert any strength.

If nothing unexpected happened, in less than five seconds, she would lose her life to his fangs.

"Just a little closer, just a little more..." Ermes struggled with her arms, but her athletic physique was completely useless at this moment.

Although she couldn't see, she could already sense the approaching danger.

The fishy smell and damp air had already struck her face. Sensing this moment.

The figure of Kiss appeared beside Ermes, placing a sticker on Ermes's arm, and an extra arm instantly split off.

"I've been waiting for this moment for a long time! Die, you bastard!" Ermes angrily swung her fist forward.

The arm of the Stand, Kiss, covered Ermes's arm, adding a few points of power to it.

"Swish—"

Her arm struck nothing. Before she could react, the pain from her shoulder made her eyes widen, "H-how is this possible?!"

From her unseen perspective.

Sports Maximum was holding his own suspended head with one hand, and the teeth of his head were biting into Ermes's shoulder.

He tore off a piece of flesh with force and swallowed it.

"Foolish woman, I am no longer human, so human common sense does not apply to me!" Sports Maximum turned his attack, biting directly at Ermes's head.

But just then, a faint sound of footsteps reached his ears.

"Hm? Is it a Guard?" Sports Maximum turned his head to look at the door, then let out a sinister laugh, "Hehehe, your shadow betrayed your position!"

"After I eat this woman, I'll use your blood to rinse my mouth!"

As his voice fell, he controlled his body and bit down towards Ermes's forehead.

Outside the door at this time, Cain also noticed this scene.

After a moment of silence, he clenched his fist.

"As compensation, one day in the future, your Stand will be mine."

"Star Platinum!"

"Time, stop!"

Taking advantage of the time stop, Cain 's gaze swept across the empty cemetery.

Invisible corpses do not belong to Stands, so even a Stand User cannot lock onto a target with the naked eye.

However, precisely because of this, invisible corpses are affected by external influences.

For example, blood!

Sports Maximum had bitten Ermes's shoulder fiercely, causing damage, and Ermes's bright red blood also remained at the corners of his mouth.

"Found it!" Cain 's eyes sharpened.

After a simple aim, at the moment the time stop ended, Star Platinum pinched a steel ball and shot it out.

"Pfft—"

A column of blood flowed from the air.
