It was a bright sunny day, but John hated sunny days, because sneezing everytime he got out of a building isn't a great experience. He preferred the rain anyways. The perfect sound to sleep or drink hot beverages while thinking about life. Oh, and the one who ruined it.
He looks at the time. 2 pm. Of course his sleep schedule is awful again. Happens every weekend, no school really does mean staying awake all night to game then falling asleep for more than he should. After washing his face and waking up completely, his mom left his breakfast and lunch on the counter, with a note;
"Sorry dear, I have to leave pretty early today. Emergency at work."
What emergency...? She's a teacher...
John puts the packed food in his bag, grabbing his phone and leaving, hoping he won't be late to school. When he arrived, his friends looked very happy to see him. He isn't ungrateful, but he also doesn't want random people to be his friends.
He barely remembered his middle school memories, due to his absentminded nature. The only things he can remember is that his friends we're real and they actually cared. If they weren't there for him during the hard times, he is not even sure that he would be alive, especially considering that one guy bullying him all throughout the middle school, it always felt like he was always there to ruin his mood for no reason. He seemed like he enjoyed seeing him suffer. Maybe he was just overthinking. Maybe he would forget him too, someday, somehow.
