Marcus sat beside two young men. His gaze flickered over them interestingly. Their heads were raised high enough to tell they enjoyed the hymns they sung, and it was certain they had been here long enough, probably from the beginning.
He looked away feom from them to the rest of the church.
The congregation was in a blend of mostly young families, young adults, and very few old folks. Some sat straight, nodding their heads either sideways or bending forward. Others moved their bodies in sync to the melody from the pianist.
Marcus saw an African woman stand.
He smiled at the way the she moved her body. It felt as though she had so much to express through dance, than just sitting. It was lovely to see the joy on her face, and the fact that these people enjoyed sonorous melodies like he did love certain kind of music different in rhythm, and beat.
