Chapter 88: How Did She Catch Me?!
Deep within the Tagor Desert, there lay an oasis—the very place where the palace of the Snake-People was located.
Inside the spacious and luxurious great hall—
A graceful figure leaned lazily against a throne carved of violet crystal. Her posture was both elegant and seductive. She wore a regal purple brocade robe, which hugged her voluptuous, curvaceous figure like a ripe peach, oozing a faint allure. Her three thousand strands of green silk hair cascaded casually over her fragrant shoulders, flowing down her slender waist.
Beneath the robe, a coiled purple snake tail draped over one side of the throne, radiating a wild, primal aura.
This woman was, of course, Caidie's elder sister—the current Queen of the Snake-People.
She supported her chin with one hand, her phoenix-like eyes lazily gazing at the noisy group below. A cold curve curled on her lips as her soft, charming voice rang out with a domineering tone that allowed no refusal: "No need to argue. This was my decision. If you object, feel free to speak."
Queen Medusa slowly straightened her posture, her allure and elegance on full display. Her deep violet eyes passed over everyone present.
That gaze seemed to carry an uncanny magic—every Snake-People tribe leader she looked at instantly fell silent.
Yin Shi's aged face hesitated for a moment before he finally stepped forward and bowed toward her. "Your Majesty, if we truly go to war against the Jia Ma Empire, our chances of victory aren't high. The empire's number of powerhouses surpasses ours. Unless the Four Great Elders are willing…"
Before he could finish, Queen Medusa's eyes turned frosty, and she coldly interrupted, "Those four old fossils have long lost their will to fight. Relying on them? The Snake-People would remain trapped in the Tagor Desert for eternity."
It was clear she held deep dissatisfaction toward them.
Back then, it was their stubbornness that forced her to part with her sister. Now she'd come to terms with it—if the Snake-People were to escape their predicament, she'd have to be the one to lead them. The elders were unreliable, suited only to guarding the tombs of former queens, until they themselves became bones.
Yin Shi sighed inwardly. He now knew Queen Medusa had completely fallen out with the Four Elders.
Just days ago, she had refused their command to deal with a traitor, and the confrontation nearly erupted into a real fight. Even those outside could sense the oppressive might of several Dou Huangs clashing.
"We follow Her Majesty unto death!"
The one who spoke this time was a muscular male Snake-Person. He wore only a thin layer of clothing, and both his arms were covered with strange black tattoos that stretched to his palms. There, the tattoos formed two menacing black snake heads that seemed ready to leap from his flesh at any moment, emanating a fierce aura.
He was Mobas, one of the eight tribal leaders, and deeply enamored with Queen Medusa. However, due to their difference in status and strength, he never dared express it. For him, any order from the queen was absolute.
A true master of flattery...
Standing beside him was a voluptuous Snake-Woman. Upon hearing Mobas's words, she rolled her eyes at the brainless brute. Swaying her seductive waist, she stepped forward and respectfully bowed. "Your Majesty, I think Yin Shi makes a valid point. If we truly wish to defeat the Jia Ma Empire, we'll need allies."
"I never planned to defeat the Jia Ma Empire. This conflict is simply to teach them a lesson—to let them know the Snake-People are not to be bullied."
Queen Medusa turned to look at the woman, Yue Mei, and spoke softly, her voice like velvet wrapping around everyone's ears.
Yin Shi quietly breathed a sigh of relief. What he feared most was that the queen would go mad and fight to the death. That would be the end of their people.
"If you want others to respect you, first you must show them you're not to be trifled with!"
Queen Medusa's mind flashed with images of humans trading Snake-Women like merchandise. The coldness in her eyes deepened, and murderous intent flared. This battle would strike fear into the hearts of the Jia Ma Empire—so they'd never dare step into Snake-People territory again.
As for changing the fate of her people—she knew the only way was to break through to Dou Zong.
Just then, a strange heat surged in her chest. Her seductive eyes revealed a flash of confusion. Her gaze sharpened as a realization dawned.
"You dare!"
Queen Medusa clenched her fists and growled softly. In an instant, the aura of a peak Nine-Star Dou Huang exploded from her body, sweeping through the palace like a violent storm. All the tribal leaders and guards within instantly dropped to their knees.
Her own beautiful face was turning visibly red at a speed perceptible to the naked eye—but no one could see this rare expression of their queen.
A moment later, she vanished from the palace.
The four tribal leaders stared at one another, dumbfounded.
Things had been going well—so why did Her Majesty suddenly erupt?
None of them had any clue.
Had they said something wrong?
…
At that exact moment, far away in Jia Ma Holy City, Yao Yan had reached the final phase of an important "investigation." His large hands, like they were imbued with magic, explored every inch of Caidie's trembling body. The proud Seven-Star Dou Huang was helpless under his touch, her peach blossom eyes full of tears, breath soft and fragrant as she curled into his arms, at his mercy.
The Snake-People's anatomy really was miraculous… Yao Yan marveled at the wonders of creation. And now, having gotten this far, there was no stopping even if he wanted to.
"Y-Young Master… will it hurt~?"
Caidie clung to Yao Yan's neck, her voice trembling with nervousness as she whispered into his ear, the very definition of seductive.
Yao Yan had already uncovered every truth—there was no way he was letting her off now. Smiling tenderly, he said, "It shouldn't. You're a Dou Huang after all—just hang in there. I'll be gentle~"
"Then… please be gentle…"
Caidie murmured, her sultry navy-blue snake tail wrapped tighter around Yao Yan's waist. Feeling their bare skin pressed so intimately together, her flawless, flushed face deepened in color—like she wanted to melt him into her very soul.
Hsss~
Yao Yan couldn't help but suck in a breath. The friction was intense!
Just then, his storage ring suddenly shuddered. A spatial ripple pulsed from it, and a golden token burst out. In the center of the token was a blood-red gemstone, from which a tiny purple snake flared brightly. A lavish, regal projection abruptly materialized in front of Yao Yan and Caidie.
Time stopped.
The room fell into absolute silence…
