Chapter One: The Mirror That Doesn't Reflect
On the fifth night of the town's blackout, Lian was alone in her grandfather's old house at the edge of the forest.
The house was far from ordinary… it felt alive—breathing with her, sighing softly whenever the wind slipped through the broken windows.
She lit a small candle and sat down to flip through a leather notebook she had found in one of the drawers.
It was covered in a thick layer of dust, as if it hadn't been opened for decades.
But what truly froze her blood was the name written on the cover—
Her own name, in handwriting that looked exactly like hers.
> "Lian Omar Al-Sabbah — Diaries Until the End."
She froze in place.
She hadn't written this… at least, not that she remembered.
She slowly turned the first page. The date written there was two years before she was even born.
And on the first line, it said:
> "On the night the town loses power, I will finally learn the truth."
Lian raised her eyes slowly toward the mirror across the room…
but the mirror didn't reflect her image.
It was completely empty.
Suddenly, a whisper came from behind her:
> "You're late, Lian… You should have opened it before he came."
