I fire Fire Dagger at Alto Eisen as a feint. Like in our world against Beowulf, engaging Alto Eisen from long range exploits its weakness.
"You know my disadvantage from our world's fights!" Kyousuke snarls, countering with his 3-barrel machine cannon.
"Heard about our world from Lamia, huh?" I retort, sensing RyuKoOh's Tiger Knuckle via T-LINK System. I predict its trajectory and evade upward, but—
"Take this!" Aya's voice and telekinetic resonance signal her attack.
"Phantoms!" I deploy ten Phantoms as a shield against R-3 Powered's laser cannon.
Aya likely expected to pierce them. She's not wrong—older Phantoms would've failed. But now…
"No way!" Aya gasps.
Laser-reflective Phantoms deflect her cannon, piercing R-3 Powered's T-LINK Flight System, destroying its plasma parts.
"Captain Aya!?" Brit calls out.
RyuKoOh, lacking ranged options beyond Tiger Knuckle, can only catch the falling R-3 Powered.
"Looking away? Cocky!" Kyousuke taunts.
In seconds, Alto Eisen closes to melee range, boosting for a temporary leap, Revolving Stake raised. My T-LINK barrier already detected him.
"That's the gap in our skill," I say, rolling to dodge the stake, aiming Halberd Launcher point-blank—until a red laser hits me.
"Tch, Accel!" I use the Spirit Command, evading. A beam streaks where I was.
"Why betray Neue DC, Captain Axel!?" Yuki's Razangriff Raven fires from above.
"Yuki, been a while," I reply, grabbing Gun Rapier, firing both it and Halberd Launcher at the higher-altitude Raven.
"Kh!" Yuki grunts.
VC units like hers, missile-focused, struggle against Growseiva's jammer.
But that's one-on-one.
"Let Yuki go, or I won't hold back!" Carla's Landgriz Raven fires its linear rifle, timed perfectly with Yuki's attack—a testament to their synergy.
"Nice move, Carla," I commend, activating Gleipnir's Thread. I entangle Razangriff Raven, using Growseiva's power to swing it.
"Ugh!" Yuki exclaims.
"Yuki, dodge!" Carla shouts.
Landgriz's shot hits Razangriff, used as a shield. I hurl Razangriff into Landgriz, crashing them to the ground. Not shot down, but out of this fight. Three down.
From the air, I see Hagane and Hiryuu Kai's units battling Shadow-Mirror's Elsines, mass-produced Gespenst Mk-IIs, and Ashsavers.
"Not as flashy as Mekibos, but let's light it up," I mutter, deploying all Phantoms, unfolding beam gatling, linear railgun, and dual Lanze Kanone, wielding Gun Rapier and Halberd Launcher.
"T-LINK System, full contact. Timeflow Engine, full drive… Focus, Direct Hit…"
I target Hagane and Hiryuu Kai's cluster.
"All units, evade!" Kyousuke's order echoes, but it's too late.
"Full Burst!" I unleash beam gatling, blanketing their evasion space, followed by linear railgun targeting fragile units like Asterion and Cybuster. Cybuster takes minor damage, but Asterion's thin armor is pierced, crashing. Dual Lanze Kanone, Gun Rapier, and Halberd Launcher fire simultaneously, hitting Huckebein Boxer and Grungust directly, damaging airborne Fairlions.
Finally, twenty-eight Phantoms, laser blades active, swarm via T-LINK, slashing less agile units like RyuKoOh and Giganscudo Duro, piling steady damage.
Seconds later, the storm leaves Hagane and Hiryuu Kai's units lightly to moderately damaged.
Glancing elsewhere, Slade Gelmeer and Dygenguar clash with Zankantou, Vaisaga dodges Angelg's arrows while striking with her Great Sword, and Rapiesage and Weissritter engage in high-mobility shootouts. Vindel's Trinity Gain directs mass-produced W units, avoiding the frontlines.
We're dominating.
"Not wise to lose focus in battle!" a voice warns.
Familiar beam shots—Lanze Kanone—fire from the ground.
"Elzam!" I shout.
"No, I'm Raetzel Feinschmecker! Trombe, now's the time!" Raetzel's Aussenseiter, galloping, fires Lanze Kanone with uncanny precision, predicting my moves.
"Won't work!" I counter, deploying T-LINK's telekinetic barrier, predicting shots and neutralizing unavoidable ones with Gun Rapier and beam gatling.
"Slice through! Shelter Platte!" Raetzel hurls Aussenseiter's shoulder shields, beam blades active, spinning toward me.
A direct hit would hurt, but—
"You think that'll work now!?" I dodge with Chronos Booster.
"I knew you'd evade," Raetzel says, chilling me. Danger screams through T-LINK.
Kachina's Armarion dives from above, Hard Heat Horn aimed at me. No time to dodge or block with a field—it'd break.
"Adamon Halber, activate!" I morph it into a lance, parrying the horn, deflecting it along the shaft.
"No way!?" Kachina yelps.
I open chest armor for Fire Dagger, but—
"Accel!" I evade, as Bildvirger, jacket armor purged, slashes past with Victim Beak. It's damaged from my Full Burst, visible in high-mobility mode.
"You've improved," I mutter. From Neue DC's uprising, Hagane and Hiryuu Kai have grown stronger, this battle their pinnacle. Only my reincarnation perks let me dodge; anyone else would've been shredded.
"Arado Balanga, that was impressive. Your reward," I say.
"Reward!? Food?" Arado quips, carefree or thoughtless—probably the latter.
I smirk, contacting Bildfalken in Shirogane's hangar via secure comm. "Zeora, you hear me?"
"Yes. What's happening? We can't get visuals," Zeora replies.
"Sorry, it's to avoid Vindel. It's time. Launch from Shirogane's hatch and join Hagane."
"What? Understood," Zeora says.
"Captain?" Ouka questions.
I ignore her, urging Zeora. "Miss this, and you won't reunite. Hurry!"
"Yes!" Zeora cuts the comm, launching.
I contact Arado. "Not food, but what you want most. Look."
I point Growseiva toward Bildfalken.
"Bildfalken!? Then…" Arado gasps.
"Arado!" Zeora calls.
"Zeora!? And Ouka-neesan, Dr. Sero…?" Arado's stunned.
"Told you—your reward. Agira's brainwashing is gone. They're the Ouka and Zeora you know."
"Why…?" Arado asks.
"Want answers? Defeat me," I challenge.
