Without wasting another moment, Lucas turned around and hurried toward the castle.
His steps quickened as he approached the entrance, but before he could reach the staircase, he noticed something that made him stop.
The dark cloud was slowly dispersing. The darkness that had covered the sky began to fade, and the light gradually returned as though nothing unusual had happened.
Lucas stared upward in confusion.
"What just happened?" he muttered.
For a moment, he wondered if the entire thing had been an illusion.
Then he noticed that every single person in the vicinity had their gaze fixed on the sky. They had all witnessed it.
"Alpha," Cepha, his beta, called cautiously. "Should we check on the young lady?"
Just like Lucas, Cepha's gaze remained fixed on the second floor of the castle.
Others might not have known who was staying in that particular room, but Cepha knew.
