His voice was calm, but my heart raced. I felt blood rushing to my cheeks, I was certain it would have turned into a shade of rose at the moment.
"Are you avoiding the question?" I asked after I drew in a deep breath to calm my racing heart.
He shook his head lightly. "I cannot avoid answering your question…not in a lifetime." His voice was clear and firm.
A simple declaration, yet my heart raced.
"Maybe you would lie your way out then?" I accused, meeting his gaze…probably I was trying to assess him…to know if he was lying, but then how would I know?
We have known each other for just a while. Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if he did. Men always had their way with words.
He shook his head in denial. "Definitely not…there's no point lying when it is much easier to say the truth." He answered as he pulled me closer into his embrace.
His head buried between my neck, his teeth grazed it softly, a tingling sensation coursed my body, setting me ablaze with desire.
