The moment Takumi got a clear look at the school nurse, his expression froze for half a second.
He had seen plenty of stunning women before, but the one standing before him was on an entirely different level. Her mature, voluptuous figure radiated an irresistible, womanly charm that could make any man's heart skip a beat.
This nurse… Takumi recognized her. She was Chisato Hasegawa.
The shock in his eyes quickly faded, replaced by calm—almost too calm. Because he knew her identity was far from simple.
Why is she here, working as a school nurse?
He frowned slightly, a faint edge of caution flashing in his gaze. Activating his [Jade Eye, ]he examined her immediately.
[Name: Chisato Hasegawa]
[Level: Main God-Class (Sealed)]
[Traits: Primordial God Race (Gold), Ancient One (Purple), Divine Inheritance (Purple), Heaven's Blessing (Purple)…]
[Primordial God Race] (Gold): The first beings created by the God of the Bible; entities of unimaginable potential.
[Ancient One] (Purple): With age comes transcendent understanding; grants immense growth in insight and wisdom.
[Divine Inheritance] (Purple): Inherits a fragment of the God of the Bible's power, allowing partial modification of system laws.
[Heaven's Blessing] (Purple): A child of fortune—favored by fate itself.
Main God-class… Takumi took a sharp breath.
But then another detail caught his eye—something even more alarming.
[Affection: 100]
Perfect affection. Completely maxed out—without warning, without reason.
He looked up, confused, meeting Chisato's vivid green eyes—and the air between them crackled.
That same electrical current ran through his chest again, exactly like before. Yet this time, it made even less sense.
Inda and Hakari's affection had only hit the max because of the [Love Curse],
but Chisato's had reached 100 before it even activated.
Impossible. He had no memory of ever meeting her before.
Still, he forced a polite smile and said naturally, "Miss Hasegawa, they seem to have twisted their ankles. Could you take a look?"
"Twisted their ankles? Both of them, and Takumi-kun just had to accompany them?" Her teasing tone came with a sharp look, though her sultry voice made it sound oddly captivating.
Standing up from her chair, she grabbed the white coat hanging by the rack and swung it over her shoulders. Her shirt shifted with the motion—
Duang~ Duang~
Even her confident, almost masculine speech pattern only emphasized her womanly allure. And when she walked—coat fluttering, hips swaying—the pressure of her presence filled the entire room.
Both Karane and Hakari, who'd been faking their injuries, suddenly felt suffocated.
Takumi, meanwhile, narrowed his eyes slightly, meeting hers. "You already know my name, Miss Hasegawa?"
Chisato tilted her head and smiled with a knowing, seductive curve of her lips. "You're the school's first male student—and quite the handsome one. Word travels fast."
She's lying. She definitely knew long before this. Takumi thought, but chose not to expose her.
Her smile didn't waver. "Just be careful, alright? Whether you like it or not, standing out draws attention—and not all of it is good."
Her tone softened. "People hate what's different… especially those who fear it."
He understood instantly. She was warning him—He'd already drawn the eyes of too many, even beings from other races.
"Thanks for the concern, Miss Hasegawa," he said, his voice firm. "But if anyone comes for me with bad intentions—my fists will do the talking."
Her eyes widened slightly in surprise, then softened with amusement.
"In that case," she murmured with a playful smile, "I'll be watching."
The quiet tension between them hung in the air before her gaze shifted to the two girls still clinging to Takumi.
Even after he'd released his grip, Inda and Hakari hadn't moved an inch. They were still glued to his body like magnets.
"Tch~ Looks like your injuries are terribly serious—you can't even get off him, huh?"
Her dry tone broke their trance. Both girls instantly snapped to attention and pulled away, cheeks burning, sitting properly on the infirmary beds and pretending to nurse their ankles.
Their fake pain was so exaggerated that Chisato didn't even bother checking. She just sighed and glanced at Takumi with a knowing smirk.
"By the way," she said casually, "I heard a rumor lately—apparently there's a love charm in the courtyard."
Both girls perked up at once.
"It's said that if you find a pink three-leaf clover there and give your crush a four-leaf one, your confession will definitely succeed. But, hmm… I think the groundskeepers are trimming the grass soon. Maybe in a few minutes…"
Before she could even finish, Hakari bolted upright. "Excuse me, Miss Hasegawa! I—I need to use the restroom!"
And she dashed out like a sprinter at the starting gun.
"Wait!!"
Karane shot up right after her. "M-me too! I think my stomach hurts!"
Then she ran after Hakari, full of energy—no trace of pain left.
Takumi gave a low chuckle and raised a thumb. "You're a miracle worker, Miss Hasegawa. Though… you didn't actually trick them, did you?"
"Of course not. The rumor's real," she said with a shrug, feigning innocence.
Now that the infirmary was empty but for the two of them, Takumi hesitated, debating whether to ask the question burning in his mind.
Her affection value didn't seem hostile—it felt genuine, almost protective. If so, maybe she'd actually answer him directly.
"Miss Hasegawa, you—"
Just as he opened his mouth, the school intercom buzzed to life.
[Miss Hasegawa, please report to the staff office immediately. Repeat—]
"Oh dear, right now? What a headache," she sighed.
Crossing the room, she opened a drawer at her desk and pulled out a few files. "Sorry, I've got a meeting to attend. We'll talk later, alright?"
Before leaving, she tossed something to him—a small, silver key. "This is for the infirmary. I have a feeling you'll need it. I'll let the office know you're authorized."
With a final wink, Chisato Hasegawa swept out of the room, her white coat fluttering behind her.
Takumi looked down at the key in his palm, thoughtful. "Yeah… I've got a feeling I'll be visiting this place again soon."
