She was secreting on her own, and she was so overfull that it would just leak out if she wasn't careful.
When Luca had first discovered this fact, he had literally dropped to his knees and wept tears of pure, unadulterated joy, claiming his prayers had been answered by the heavens.
Leona hadn't understood his psychotic level of enthusiasm at the time; she had just been relieved that he didn't find her mutating body freaky or unnatural.
