Chapter 13 - 13

Two weeks had passed since Yueshu and Minato Namikaze's duel, and Yueshu's daily life remained unchanged, except that Minato Namikaze was no longer in their class.

Minato Namikaze had passed the early graduation exam, becoming a glorious Genin ahead of everyone else, unlike Yueshu who still had to attend classes in the classroom.

Yueshu didn't pay much attention to this; being a Genin or a student, he preferred being a student. Attending school for a short period each day meant he could laze around for the rest of the time, which he found incredibly blissful.

Having been a shut-in in his previous life, he wasn't an ambitious person, nor had his personality changed. How could he suddenly become motivated and strive for the highest peak just because he transmigrated?

Moreover, it was a time of peace, so why push himself? Life should be lived happily.

This was Yueshu's motto and philosophy: if the sky falls, taller people will hold it up. Don't always think you're the savior or the protagonist. This world isn't a game; everyone is real, so what makes you think you're the protagonist?

Yueshu disdained male protagonists who transmigrated and suddenly changed their personalities, focused solely on becoming stronger, and then started a harem. Transmigrating as if they had evolved—they were shut-ins for twenty years, useless people for twenty years, but after transmigrating, they became completely different.

"You're really lazy, you know."

Lady Tsunade, who had been out for a rare stroll, saw Yueshu lying on the tatami mat after returning home from school.

"I especially don't want to hear that from you."

Yueshu yawned and squinted at Lady Tsunade.

This woman was much lazier than him; she usually had nothing to do and just lay there, doing nothing.

Lady Tsunade didn't respond, simply lying down beside Yueshu.

"Hey, don't you have any goals? Like becoming Hokage or something? It's not good to act like an old person at such a young age."

"My goal is to open a shop, it's very simple. Alright, topic closed."

As soon as Lady Tsunade finished speaking, Yueshu immediately retorted, leaving her stunned.

"Those who aim to be Hokage would be very sad to hear that, the top genius of Konoha."

"If they want to, they can go for it. I'm not stopping them."

"You're really not cute at all."

"Well, I apologize then."

Lady Tsunade and Yueshu lay on the tatami mat. It was afternoon, and soon both of them felt a little sleepy.

"Lady Tsunade, Lady Tsunade!"

Shizune's voice came from outside, instantly dispelling most of Yueshu and Lady Tsunade's drowsiness.

The door burst open, and sure enough, Shizune, dressed in black, appeared.

"What is it, Shizune?"

"You haven't taught me Medical Ninjutsu today."

Lady Tsunade clasped her hand over her forehead, suddenly remembering this troublesome matter.

"Alright, let's go to the courtyard."

Lady Tsunade always wanted to skip work, but after seeing Shizune's gaze, she had no choice but to dutifully act as a teacher and instruct Shizune.

"You can do it!"

Yueshu waved his fist, then turned over and continued to lie down.

""

With Shizune's glowing eyes beside her, Lady Tsunade had no choice but to take her to the courtyard.

The afternoon temperature was just right, warm enough without a blanket, perfect for an afternoon nap.

Yueshu had only been lying for a while when his eyes involuntarily closed.

"Is anyone there? Is anyone there? Please, save me! I don't want to die yet!"

"If there's a next life, I truly hope I can be a leisurely person, not having to rush for life every day, opening a small shop, making my favorite food, and having a gentle wife. That's all I want, God, my wish is simply this simple!"

"Yueshu! Yueshu!"

Two different sentences echoed in his mind, and Yueshu slowly opened his eyes.

Shizune and Lady Tsunade were right in front of him, only tens of centimeters away, and their eyes held a hint of worry.

"Weren't you going to learn Medical Ninjutsu?"

Yueshu asked, as Lady Tsunade and Shizune stood directly in front of him, looking at him.

"It's already time for dinner."

Shizune didn't speak; it was Lady Tsunade who spoke.

"Huh?"

Yueshu looked to the side; the courtyard was already flushed red under the twilight, and the setting sun's light bathed both the courtyard and the tatami mat.

"Is it that late already? I guess I slept for quite a while. It's my turn to make dinner tonight. Wait, I'll go make it right away."

Yueshu said, about to stand up.

"You should wipe your face first."

Lady Tsunade sighed, saying softly.

"I think so too. Also, I'll make dinner tonight. Yueshu, you should rest today. You seem a bit tired."

Shizune's voice was already gentle, but today it was even softer, like a spring breeze.

Yueshu was a bit confused. Following their words, he raised his hand to wipe his face, only to find his hand wet.

His eyes were unconsciously and unknowingly shedding tears, and his mind hadn't fully registered it.

Yueshu stared blankly at his wet arm.

"Get some good rest. I'm going to make dinner."

Shizune said softly, then got up and went to the kitchen, leaving only Lady Tsunade there.

"Hey."

Yueshu looked up at Lady Tsunade. Yueshu had no idea what had happened to him; he had just woken up from a nap to find himself like this. Oh, and those two sentences—two sentences he had no memory of, yet they had stirred his calm heart.

"Do you remember? Things from before."

"What do you mean?"

"It seems you don't remember."

Lady Tsunade scratched her hair, with Yueshu watching from the side.

"Well, I'm not sure. You'll have to find out yourself."

Lady Tsunade blurted out, then walked away, leaving Yueshu stunned.

"What is this guy talking about now?"

Yueshu habitually grumbled, but the next second he quieted down.

"My past self? Things about this body's original owner?"

Yueshu whispered, in a voice only he could hear.

The scent of dinner wafted from the kitchen. The system's electronic sound hadn't chimed for a while. Dinner tonight was much quieter; even Lady Tsunade, usually so noisy, was silent.

Yueshu noticed.

Although he knew he was a shut-in who exercised before transmigrating, he had no clue how he had transmigrated. Not only that, but he had no memory of the original owner of the body he had transmigrated into, unlike the novels he read where the protagonist would immediately gain the original owner's memories upon transmigrating.

The system was also a single-player type, rarely speaking, and unable to provide any hints or answers to Yueshu.

For some reason, Yueshu only had vague recollections of his life before transmigrating.

This was not a good omen, at least that's what Yueshu thought.

Just a single drop of water can cause ripples across a calm surface, and the Hokage World was no different; with Yueshu, an outsider, everything was changing.

The sun had quietly set, and Yueshu returned to his room after dinner.

There wasn't much entertainment in the Hokage World. Yueshu lay down as usual, with the window wide open. For Yueshu, a leisurely evening breeze was quite nice.

"Well, I'll take my time."

Yueshu stopped dwelling on unnecessary thoughts, closed his eyes, and quietly enjoyed the cool evening breeze.

Konoha Village's night was very quiet. Unlike his previous life, there was no concept of nighttime businesses here; no street food stalls, no KTVs—such things didn't exist in the Hokage World.

Thinking of this, Yueshu couldn't help but smile.
