Chapter 162 - Chapter 162: Bulma, the Ultimate Backer

When Bulma was still very young, Tights had already left Earth.

Even so, more than ten years had passed—and yet, the moment she saw her, Tights recognized her instantly.

"Jaco, open the hatch—now!" Tights shouted urgently.

"We can't! We don't know whether they're friend or foe—"

Before Jaco could finish

"Stop talking nonsense! She's my little sister!"

Tights pounded on the hatch anxiously.

"?!"

Jaco's eyes went wide.

Your sister isn't an Earthling? Then how could she possibly be this strong?!

Confused, Jaco looked again at the beautiful woman standing on the beach. The more he stared, the more familiar she seemed—like someone he really had seen before.

And… she really did look a lot like Tights.

After a brief hesitation, Jaco finally opened the hatch.

"Bulma!"

Tights leapt down onto the sand and ran toward her.

"Big Sis!"

Bulma's eyes reddened as she rushed forward.

The two sisters wrapped their arms tightly around each other.

After a while

"Big Sis… it's been over ten years. Why haven't you ever come home?"

Bulma pulled back, her voice trembling.

"Well… uh…"

Tights' eyes darted around awkwardly. "I wanted to gather more sci-fi novel material, so…"

She quickly changed the subject, feeling guilty.

"Forget about me—why are you in space?"

Bulma wiped the corner of her eye and shot her sister an annoyed look.

"Obviously because I came looking for you!"

As the sisters caught up, Jaco finally accepted the truth—this really was Tights' younger sister.

He suddenly remembered something.

Back when he'd gone to Earth to deal with a Saiyan—Son Goku—his spaceship had malfunctioned.

And it had been this very girl who repaired it.

"…Wait."

Jaco jumped down from the ship, staring at Bulma in disbelief.

"Aren't you an Earthling? You came straight out of outer space just now—why aren't you wearing a spacesuit?"

As he spoke, his gaze shifted to the small child standing beside her.

That terrifying power from earlier… it definitely hadn't come from Bulma.

So did that mean—

This kid?

Jaco felt his entire worldview collapsing. The child looked no different from an Earthling. How could he possibly—

Suddenly, Jaco noticed something wrapped around the child's waist.

A tail.

"You're a Saiyan?!" Jaco blurted out.

"Yes."

Little Broly nodded honestly.

"I'm the same as Big Brother Gran—we're both Saiyans."

Gran?

Who was that?

Jaco and Tights exchanged looks, both seeing the same confusion in each other's eyes.

"Bulma," Tights asked again, "you still haven't explained how you can survive in space."

"Well… over the past few years, several gods have come to Earth…"

Bulma briefly explained everything about Gran and the others.

"…What?!"

"A candidate God of Destruction, an actual God of Destruction, angels, eternal youth—and you can fly?!"

Tights covered her mouth, completely stunned.

She'd only been gone a little over ten years—and Earth had changed this much?

Jaco was equally shocked.

Candidate God of Destruction? God of Destruction? Angels?

What kind of beings were those?!

Seeing their expressions, Bulma lifted her chin proudly.

This was her reward for serving as the "caretaker" for three gods.

With her relationship with Beerus and Whis, she could practically walk sideways throughout Universe 7.

"I've never heard of gods like that," Jaco said slowly, "but just from their titles, you can tell they're extraordinary."

He glanced again at little Broly.

That explained it.

A child following gods around—how could he possibly be ordinary?

Now that everything was clear, Jaco finally relaxed.

"Big Sis, space is dangerous and boring. Come home with me," Bulma said earnestly, gripping Tights' arm.

"When I make Whis and Lord Beerus happy, I'll have them grant you eternal youth too!"

"E-Eternal youth?!"

Tights' eyes sparkled—before she quickly shook her head.

"I am interested in those gods you mentioned," she admitted, "but I'm busy writing a new sci-fi novel. I'll come back after I finish it."

"Big Sis!"

Bulma grew anxious and tried to persuade her again.

Tights patted Bulma's hand reassuringly.

"Don't worry. I'm staying near the Galactic Patrol—it's safe…"

But her voice faltered near the end.

Bulma froze.

"What's wrong? Is someone causing you trouble?"

"Nothing like that," Tights said quickly.

"I didn't offend anyone."

She glared at Jaco.

"He's the one who angered a space criminal recently, so I got dragged into it."

Bulma slowly turned her gaze toward Jaco.

Jaco avoided eye contact, looking extremely guilty.

"Well… I am a Galactic Patrolman," he muttered weakly.

"Isn't it normal to make enemies among space criminals?"

"Hmph. You're weak yet always overestimating yourself," Tights scoffed.

"No wonder novels based on you flop."

"You! If I'd known, I wouldn't have brought you into space back then! You mock me every day!"

"Brought me? Without me and my sister, would your ship have been repaired?

And don't forget—those Capsules you're using now were all from me!"

Watching them argue like children, Bulma rubbed her forehead.

After all these years… they hadn't changed at all.

"Enough," Bulma said, clenching her fist.

"Who is this guy? How strong is he? I'll take care of him for you."

She raised her small fist confidently.

If she could fly, she could fire ki blasts too.

According to Gran, her strength already qualified her as a powerhouse in the universe.

Anyone who dared bully her sister—

She'd blast them to dust.

"You?"

Tights looked at Bulma skeptically.

From what Bulma said earlier, she'd only been granted eternal youth.

How could an ordinary Earthling deal with powerful space criminals?

"Big Sis, what's that look supposed to mean? Are you doubting me?"

Bulma snorted and raised her hand toward the distant sea.

She fired a ki blast.

BOOOOM!!

A massive mushroom cloud rose from the ocean.

The deafening shockwave echoed in Tights' ears as she froze in place.

Jaco was stunned too.

The girl who once fixed his ship… had grown this powerful?

"Amazing…"

Tights' eyes burned with excitement.

"Hehe, I'm pretty strong now!"

Bulma laughed, patting little Broly's shoulder.

"And even if I weren't—there's Broly, right?"

Right!

Tights' gaze grew even hotter.

This little Saiyan had overloaded Jaco's scouter—he definitely had the strength to deal with that criminal.

"He's called Masku," Jaco said quickly.

"His power level is around 80,000. He's currently on Planet Bell in the East Galaxy."

With someone like this here, why wouldn't you grab onto such a powerful thigh?

"Where's the East Galaxy?" Bulma asked, blinking.

"We're near the center of the universe," Tights explained.

"Even at top speed, it'd take at least two months to get there."

"Two months?!"

Bulma's eyes widened.

She'd only slipped out while Lord Gran was busy. Once he finished, she had to return to Earth.

She didn't have that much time.

Seeing her expression, Tights asked what was wrong.

Bulma explained that she was currently traveling with a candidate God of Destruction.

Tights and Jaco fell silent.

So she was following that god…

Then revenge was off the table.

"If you're busy, forget it," Tights said lightly.

"I'll just avoid him. As long as I stay near the Galactic Patrol headquarters, he won't dare do anything."

Jaco nodded.

"Right. I'll report this to the Galactic King. Now that Saiyans are involved, it's only a matter of time before he's arrested."

Though they spoke calmly, Bulma remained uneasy.

Being targeted by such a dangerous criminal—could it really be fine?

And just then—

Whoosh.

A figure suddenly appeared beside them.
