After Kurv hung up, Elr sighed and dropped his phone on his study desk.
Seconds ago he was going to tell her the whole truth about everything but he just didn't know how to put it.
`It's been two years now. Ugh I'm such a freaking coward`
He rubbed his pale-colored hairless cheeks as his mind bounced back to three years ago.. Back when Kurv was nothing more than a stranger to him.

Adine's |Rolling With You| played in the background as party guests helped themselves with champagne and various edibles.
The clattering of bottles with tumblers over-ruled the soft music which hung desperately in the air.
The award-giving ceremony of Milvan College was one where one had to dress-to-impress. Important individuals, from CEOs to Agents, Government Officials and the rest of them, They were all present for the sole purpose of recruiting various talents of this great university rated Top 5 in the Whole Nation.
Dressed in my all-black gown, I stood a few meters across the hall from Vetto the man that had just asked me out this at the beginning of last semester.
Just last week, I had told him that I would give him my reply when it suits me best. But after all these months that had passed, seeing him in TV commercials and up close almost all the time, I didn't want to keep playing this game. I had found myself falling hard for him.
Coated in a pair of pale blue blazers with black gloves to match, his perfect jawline added more prime to his elegance as much as his brown gold-laced eyes does. His body structure was yet another pleasure to fix my sight on.
Just what can someone do to be this perfect.
It felt so good just looking at him.
Vetto's eyes crossed over and met mine. I felt my cheeks burn with each step he took closer to me until he was right in front of me.
"Hi."
I blinked twice. Was he really talking to me. I searched my mind for an appropriate response but my stupid brain was already on Cloud 9.
"This might be a little inconvenient given that you haven't made up your mind, but.." he rubbed his blonde hair, "..the stage dance will be happening anytime soon. Do you mind a dance with me?"
- - -
" Sir, do you need anything? You look bothered." Frenrrè, his Personal Assistant asked him. Elr had been like this all day, so someone just had to say it. All his guards were too afraid to ask.
Elr just didn't want to talk about it. A moment ago, he was going to ask Kurv out to a dance but Vetto seems to have beat him to it. Elr was now in the wrong mood that just anything could piss him off.
`Is it my eyes or is that really Elr D'Carter, the CEO of Tensixx and Founder of one of the best Fashion Industry worldwide??` Tess was beyond overwhelmed by the thought of it. If Elr really didn't have a date tonight, then she really stood a chance to becoming the next D'Carteran heiress. That is, if things go according to plan.
`There sure are a lot of golden opportunities here. Using my last dime to borrow this luxury gown wasn't a bad idea after all.`
The music stopped as the party host and Vice Chairman of the Malvin Institution stepped unto the stage.
Everyone gave a breath's silence to listen to what he had to say. After all, he was the main reason why they had all gathered here today. Malvin College can also be considered a great mining institution for talents worldwide with it's students ranging from beauty to brains and so much more.
Important figures came from far and near just to recruit it's students into their own industry. Elr was pretty much present for the same thing, and so was Vetto. But they played differently. While D'Carter was genuinely looking for worthy talents, Vetto would pick the best of them and try as much as possible to get them for free.
But in all, Elr's smallest Firm still beat Vetto's number one industry to great lengths.
"Sir, the files you asked for." Girrt , his Secretary said with much pride and a feeling of accomplishment. "I arranged them accordingly, from the best to the least."
Elr took a keen look at all the documents before him, swiftly running his eyes through all of them. He flipped open the first page.
The first on the list was..
"Kurv Daynes, the scholarship goddess. Aged 19.." Beauty and Brains, just what Tensixx needs. Such a model would be worth millions of dollars in the fashion industry. "She's been recieving awards and scholarships right from kindergarten and Middle school.. that's top notch. Impressive."
Vetto sure has good eyes.
" Let's get on to the next one, please."
Girrt and Frenrrè exchanged skeptical glances. Knowing Elr D'Carter, he would immediately recruit her or put her name on the 'A list', but he simply just put her file aside.
After opening the second file, and then the third, Elr tossed them all away.
"These are all no good."
"If they are all female files, get them away. Tensixx will take a different turn this time around."
"..."
" You must be pinning and looking forward to hearing my reason. Fine." Elr's eyes lowered and gave that cold serious gaze that meant business.
"Traditionally, models don't require education to do their job, so it didn't take long for the public to start referring to them as illiterates. Then fashion brands began to recruit models based on certificates and achievements, which was working. But now, society will only see those models as slots or arrogant misfits."
" So.. we go back to the traditional method? " Girrt asked, feeling confused.
" Absolutely no. We stick with the current but twist it to our advantage. "
" Apparently, Carson now has the best of them", he said, referring to Kurv. "It would be pointless trying to find anyone better than her..", " Frenrrè!"
" Sir?"
" Combine all the male files from worst to best. Bring them to my office first thing tomorrow morning"
Elr did have a point. No one wants to know about a male model's background of he has the looks and charisma.
Girrt packed up all the files and followed Frenrrè out, he turned around with a smile,
"Tensixx will turn out just fine. That is, with him around. He's just the best."
" Right. I'll really not mind working with him for free." Frenrrè said.
Girrt scoffed
" Don't get all humble now, money jerk."
