Being born as a human without any mana was always a burden to me. I have been bullied by the few kids i have met. My parents, who are powerful mages, despise me.
"You're a disgrace to our family!". The last thing my father ever said to me before i was kicked out of home, even though i am just 15.
After being kicked out i aimed for the mountains, away from society. The first night i couldn't sleep. Not on the cold, wet and tough dirt of the forest. When i woke up my stomach was rumbling.
Suddenly i remembered the peach tree i planted alongside the river with my uncle Rukoji when i just turned 5. He was always kind to me and believed that i was special and that i have been blessed. But I don't think that's true. I think i am cursed. Nobody in the history of mankind had been born without mana. As i got closer to the tree i stumbled upon a ring. It looked old, nearly anchient, but still beautiful. I put it on. It fits perfectly.
When i arrived at the tree i was stunned. It was absolutely humongous. About 2.5 times bigger than the average peach tree. I climbed up the tree and picked 3 perfect looking peaches. They were also bigger than average. I slowly descended from the tree and lay down on the slightly wet but warm and comfortable river bed and start eating the peaches. They were soft, juicy and very sweet. Perfect for gaining some energy and quenching my thirst. I looked up in the sky and listened to the birds chirping to eachother. I started to feel alive. I started thinking. If the world doesn't accept me then i will change.
I stood up, threw the peach seeds into the river and started walking towards the village where my uncle lives. I want to ask him for advice. To ask what i could change about myself. But as i knocked on his door. Nobody answered
