Icarus looked down at the opening, unable to see what lay at the bottom of the pit. As he fell, he truly did feel like his namesake, diving towards the ocean as his wings melted. It all went black before he could see what he would be facing.
Once Icarus came to, he found himself sprawled up on a bed of golden flowers. He groaned, head pounding from the fall.
"Where..? I'm not dead?" Icarus muttered to himself, slowly forcing himself to his feet.
A laugh echoed from behind the boy. "Oh, you're not dead! I made sure the flowers cushioned your fall!"
Icarus immediately spun around to face a... Talking buttercup? "Who are you?" He asked tensely, looking at the odd golden flower.
"Oh, where are my manners? I'm Flowey, Flowey the flower! What's your name, kid?" Flowey asked, a wide grin on his face.
"I'm Icarus..." He never looked away from the flower. "Where am I?"
"The Underground! It's where monsters live!" Flowey paused, seemingly confused. "Though, you do look a bit like that yellow kid..."
"...Yellow kid?"
Flowey bobbed his head. "Yep! He had a cute little cowboy hat, yellow Soul..."
"C-Cowboy hat..? You mean Clover..?"
"Clover! Yes, that was his name! Wait..." Flowey looked at Icarus with a wicked grin. "Are you his brother?"
Icarus paused, not wanting to share. But the buttercup already knew the answer, so he nodded. "Yes. He's... My older brother."
Flowey laughed. "Ah, we were good friends, you know. I helped him on his journey throughout the Underground."
"Really? Do you know where he is?" Icarus asked, heart racing.
A hum came from the buttercup. "I do he's in the castle: New Home. I can help you reach him, if you'd like."
Icarus' mistrust was soon forgotten. "Yes, please." He said almost immediately.
"Well, then, kid... Go down this hallway behind me and you'll reach this room with levers. You'll want to press the third one; it'll bring you to the Wild East."
