"That's not a question you should be asking me. Can't your company's research institutions figure this out?" Raven said indifferently.
Murakami was now lost in thought. The awakening of the Orphnoch King required devouring a large number of Orphnochs or high-level Orphnochs. That fact alone was incredibly difficult to accept. He himself might even be in danger.
"Given that, do you still want to awaken the Orphnoch King?" Raven asked curiously.
Saeko fell silent, not speaking. Takuma shook his head frantically. He wanted nothing to do with a monster that would devour fellow Orphnochs.
"Mr. Raven, it's unrealistic to expect us to abandon the awakening of the Orphnoch King based on your word alone. Furthermore, if what you say is true, then we have no other choice but to seek eternal life through the King." Murakami began to doubt whether his decision to approach Raven was correct. He hadn't expected the man to know so much about the Orphnochs, while he knew nothing about him.
"No, first, I never said you should abandon the Orphnoch King's awakening. Second, you actually have another option," Raven said, leaning back in his chair, holding a red wine glass with a playful attitude.
"What option?" Saeko Kageyama was the first to ask.
Raven smiled faintly, set down his empty glass, and picked up a sharp steak knife, drawing it across his wrist. A shocking wound appeared, and blood immediately began to spill out.
Everyone's face changed. They couldn't understand what Raven was doing. Takuma, especially, started trembling more obviously. He really is a monster…
The blood dripped into the glass below. Raven was completely unfazed, acting as if it wasn't his blood flowing. Then, he spoke to them calmly.
"Drink my blood, and become an Amazon. Then you will have eternal life."
He had said all that to lead up to this point. He intended to experiment on other Orphnochs first, to see what would actually happen when they were converted into an Amazon. Smart Brain was the most suitable partner for such an experiment.
"An Amazon? What is that supposed to be…" Takuma was totally bewildered.
But then he was shocked by what he saw next: the wound on Raven's wrist rapidly healed within seconds. This ability was far faster than anything the Orphnochs possessed!
Even Murakami was astonished. No wonder he seemed completely unscathed during the fight with Kitazaki, as if he had infinite stamina, he thought. Could it be… that this so-called Amazon is the most perfect evolved creature?
"Which one of you has the guts to drink it? I can, at the very least, guarantee you eternal life," Raven tempted.
"I… I..." Takuma instinctively reached for the glass, but hesitated. What if the blood was poisoned?
"It's just a bit of blood." Saeko suddenly spoke, seemingly having made up her mind. She immediately picked up the glass and downed its contents in one gulp. Afterward, she even licked her lips suggestively at Raven, looking quite satisfied.
Raven was quite surprised. He hadn't expected Saeko Kageyama to be so reckless as to casually drink his blood. But on second thought, these people didn't know about the terror of the lysogenic cells in his body. Even a small amount would convert an ordinary person into an Amazon, let alone this much blood.
"Miss Saeko, you…" Takuma was startled.
Murakami on the side was also extremely nervous. Honestly, if Raven's suggestion was genuinely feasible, he wouldn't mind evolving from an Orphnoch into another, more perfect species. Seeing Saeko make the decision first, he watched the unfolding results with anticipation.
"Uh… Ah…"
A short while later, Saeko's serene expression began to twist in pain, and white steam started to rise from her body. She could feel that all her internal injuries were rapidly healing. Her power also seemed to be increasing...
Seeing Saeko change, everyone's eyes widened.
"Mr. Murakami, you should probably have everyone in this restaurant evacuate, otherwise…" Raven said with the casual tone of someone watching a show. Saeko might lose control and go berserk momentarily.
Hearing this, Murakami immediately signaled for his people to escort everyone out, ensuring no outsiders witnessed what was happening. Since this high-end restaurant was a property owned by Smart Brain, the manager immediately carried out the order.
