Chapter 201 - Chapter 201 Westcott's Heart

Isaac Ray Pelham Westcott, Executive President of DEM.

Born with unparalleled talent, unable to feel love for anything around her… when did she first develop emotions?

Was it when her parents passed away?

Was it when the village was destroyed?

Was it when she was raised by Ryuya?

No, it was none of those.

Recalling her life, the moment Westcott could clearly confirm the awakening of her own heart was when she received the news of Ryuya's disappearance.

'Sensei, your protection saved humanity, and it saved us, your four incompetent disciples.'

'But does your sacrifice truly make those humans understand what is the most important beauty in the world~?'

'They might revere you, cherish you, and feel passion for everything about you in the short term. But humans are inherently forgetful and ungrateful creatures.'

'As time passes, they will degenerate, they will give up, they will choose to waste their own lives.'

'Only pain can make them understand how beautiful this world is. Only by losing what they love can they realize how precious life is.'

Holding this purpose, Westcott founded DEM. Yearning to bring death to the continent, she developed all the Lunar Civilization's technology Ryuya had taught her.

With technology as the core, she began to influence the world's direction.

War, economy, military, even the appearance of Spirits… Westcott sought all forms of power. On the surface, she aimed to make the world's leaders and those in high positions incorruptible.

But in reality, peering into the power of Spirits, her desire was simple.

It was to use the power of Spirits to destroy the world!

["You... are you searching for him too?"]

["You... do you want to obtain power?"]

["You... become a Spirit."]

The appearance of that phantom in her memory left Westcott unsure of its true identity.

But as changes occurred in her body, she understood… she had become a Spirit.

Divine Wheel. As a compass filled with a metallic glow materialized in her hand, Westcott's Angel ability corresponded to her wish. It was a compass capable of devouring the power of other Spirits, generating immense destructive force.

After that, Elliot left DEM to found Ratatoskr. The sisters, Ellen and Karen, chose to follow her in purging the wicked from the human world. Yoshino's arrival increased the feasibility of Westcott's plan.

'Sensei, is all I'm doing right? Where exactly... are you?'

The disappearance of the Time Spirit, Tokisaki Kurumi, and the hiding of the Storm Spirits, the Yamai Sisters… the less she understood about the Spirits' situation, the more Westcott also wondered if the newly appeared male Spirit Emperor was actually Ryuya.

Suddenly hearing the news of the Emperor's appearance in Tengu City, her intuition told her she needed to go, she had to go to Tengu City.

Boarding the plane to Tengu City with Ellen, Karen, and Yoshino, her personal phone rang.

Huu...

Answering the call, the person on the other end didn't speak, only the familiar sound of breathing remained.

Having dreamed of this breathing countless times, what was Westcott's first reaction? Her first reaction was...

"Sen… Sei...?"

Tentatively, in disbelief, she uttered that word. Westcott felt she was dreaming.

But...

"Long time no see, Westcott. I'm waiting for you in Tengu City."

It was her Sensei. It was his voice.

Upon hearing Ryuya's reply, Westcott instantly felt as if everything else had lost its meaning.

Frantically, she rushed towards Tengu City. Following the coordinates Ryuya provided, she found the aerial warship Fraxinus and, led by Kannazuki and Elliot, arrived at the conference room.

"Yo, Elliot, long time no see."

"Karen, Ellen, you've grown up."

The man in her memory never seemed to change at all. Looking at Ryuya's figure, the string in Westcott's heart that had been stretched taut for thirty years finally snapped.

In an instant, the magical and spiritual energy within her surged. As the illusion magic faded, Westcott's true appearance was revealed.

"Sensei..."

Her pale golden hair was tinged with a delicate silver-grey. Her exquisite face was holy, emotionless, yet carried a sense of enchantment and allure.

Her Astral Dress resembled the qipao, but its dreamlike colors and overwhelmingly intricate decorations gave a sense of being both familiar and strange.

For the first time, she revealed her true female self before people other than Ryuya and Mio. Westcott's true identity had remained unknown all these years.

As the Divine Wheel spun wildly, Westcott stepped closer to Ryuya, step by step, walking towards her dream.

Halting, stopping.

Standing before Ryuya, at a complete loss. Like a child, Westcott shed the domineering aura of the DEM's Executive President and the might of the Eleventh Spirit. All she had was faint hesitation and bewilderment.

Remembering her past mistaken beliefs, not listening to Ryuya and summoning the Spirit of Origin with Elliot and the others, Westcott felt she had made far too many mistakes, to an unacceptable degree.

Afraid that Ryuya would dislike her, afraid that Ryuya would reject her, even though she knew her teacher wouldn't do such a thing, Westcott couldn't overcome the guilt in her own heart.

Not knowing what to do, in this moment, what she awaited was Ryuya's familiar hand.

"It's alright, Westcott."

Gently touching Westcott's beautiful hair, while the girl wore a stunned expression, Ryuya continued, "Didn't I say it back then? I, as your teacher, have long been mentally prepared for having foolish disciples."

"So, no matter what foolish things you four have done, I can accept it."

"Sensei..."

Feeling Ryuya's love, Westcott could no longer suppress her heart. She suddenly threw herself into Ryuya's embrace and finally broke down in tears.

Absorbing the surging, overwhelming and astonishing spiritual power from Westcott into his own body, Ryuya had finally found his four most worrying disciples at this moment.

Next would be his... 'battle' with Mio.
