He laughed and fell back on his bed, spreading his arms wide like a bird.

Signing in consecutively cost energy crystals, which were expensive. And most sign-ings wouldn't even bear any fruit. If it wasn't for that entity that went by the name '404' that assisted, directed, and saved him countless times in dire moments, Pierre knew he would have still been wondering why he couldn't get past Level 10.
All the while, he would have remained oblivious to the hidden story in Level 8 that was meant to give him the needed stat and love points to tackle the main story of Level 10.
