Chapter 57 - Naya: Last words.

I opened my mouth.

Part of me wanted to tell him everything. I wanted to tell him about the cave, the full moon, the bond and about the dream that showed I would kill Hansel.

But how could I explain any of that without sounding completely insane?

How could I tell him that I'd somehow bonded with a werewolf? (I'd heard the healers speaking to themselves when they were treating me about how I could tolerate treatment that even they, as werewolves, couldn't handle.

How could I explain that I could speak a language I'd never learned? And that I'd had a dream about killing Hansel with my own hands?

He'd think I'd lost my mind. Maybe I had lost my mind.

"Nothing happened, Cahir," I said, finally turning to look out of the window like before. "Nothing at all."

Cahir didn't look convinced, but thankfully, he didn't push. He just nodded and turned his attention back to the road.

I leaned my head against the window and closed my eyes.
