Chapter 2 - Meet Aya!

BOOM!

The loud sound echoed in the alley. For a moment, I thought everything was over.

Looking up at my right hand, which was raised against the wall behind me in the corner of the alley, I saw a bright red light coming from the sky and blood dripping from my hand. A lightning bolt had struck my hand.

After that, I felt strange, like some paranormal force was trying to move me, but it didn't. The robber stared at me in shock, and then my bleeding hand began to glow.

I quickly pulled my hand down in front of me, and as it glowed brighter and brighter, a red bolt of lightning shot out of it. I could only see it for a few milliseconds, and then, right where the lightning struck the ground, a girl appeared.

A cute girl with long black hair, dressed in a short black dress, stood between me and the robber. My vision blurred to black, and I fainted.

[Aya, 20]

I slowly heard gunshots and a man screaming in the background, then a female voice saying, "Hey, heey, can you hear me?"

I slowly opened my eyes and saw her again, the girl who had appeared from the lightning.

She kept asking herself strange questions like, "Why didn't it work?" and "Why couldn't I take over?"

When I looked more closely at her face, I saw her eyes. They were very light blue, almost turquoise.

I was in shock. I didn't know what had happened, but my right hand was hurting badly.

"I'm scared! Who are you?" I asked the girl.

She smiled brightly and said in a cheerful tone, "My name is Aya! And your name is?"

"My name is Nomura Ryuu. What happened, and what was that red lightning that struck my hand? Was I hallucinating?"

Her expression turned serious. "Nomura Ryuu?" she asked.

"Yes, you know me? Now I really need to get something to wipe off the blood from my hand and put a bandage on it." She seemed to be very strange, while I was standing up I thought I was hallucinating and a drunk girl found me.

"Ryuu, I know you!" she said.

After I heard that, I was in shock, my hands were trembling. Not because she told me that she knows me, I thought she was a random drunk girl, I was in shock because a few meters in front of me was the same man that tried to rob me, lying down, disfigured, covered in blood.

"Ryuu I know everything, listen to me!" the girl told me.

"Aya, what happened? Have you done this? You've killed him?" I asked her, crying.

She said "Ryuu, listen to me, I will explain everything." She continued to say. "Ryuu, why are you crying? Are you crying after seeing this man dead? He tried to kill you, remember?"

I was in shock. I sat down, frozen, looking at him while the girl that killed him told me to wait there, that she would get me some bandages from the pharmacy. Of course, I didn't trust her. About one minute after she left, I got up and tried to go away from there, but she was already back.

Looking at her hands, I was surprised to see that she already had a bag containing antiseptics and bandages. Amazed, I asked her, "How did you have time to get all of this? You barely even had time to pay for it, and the closest pharmacy is five minutes from here."

"Let me treat the wound for you, and I'll explain everything. Show me your hand."

I was as curious as I was scared, so I wanted to listen to her. My heart was beating faster and faster as I stood in front of this murderer. I gave her my hand for her to treat.

She stared at my hand in amazement, as if it had disturbed her. For the first time since the lightning strike, I took a closer look at it too, and besides the blood, I noticed a cross tattoo had appeared on my right hand's ring finger.

"What is that? Why is there a cross on my finger?" I asked her, feeling even more scared.

That's the proof I needed, you're the son of Takashi Nomura!" she said satisfied.

I looked at her with tears in my eyes, and asked, "How do you know about my deceased dad, and what is this tattoo on my finger?"

Aya's eyes sparkled as she smiled at me. "First, let me treat your wound, and then I'll explain everything. You'd better sit down for this."
