*Chapter 6: Blood and Oaths*

Sienna stood at the edge of the rooftop, staring out over the glittering lights of Rome. The city looked peaceful, but she knew better. Beneath its beauty was a war — silent, ruthless, and laced with betrayal.

The cool wind whipped through her hair, but her thoughts were louder than the wind.

Behind her, Aria approached. "Another shipment from Sicily intercepted," she said, her voice tense.

Sienna turned slowly. "Volkov's men?"

"Yes. They left a message carved into the crates. They're not hiding anymore."

Sienna's jaw clenched. "Then neither will we."

She descended the stairs and entered the war room — a high-tech chamber beneath her estate. Screens glowed with maps, faces, and names. Her top lieutenants were waiting.

"We have moles," she said calmly. "Three deals sabotaged in two weeks. No one outside this room knew. That means the traitor is one of you."

Silence.

No one moved.

Then Sienna pulled a small pistol from her coat and laid it on the table. "You have until midnight to prove your loyalty. Anyone who hesitates… will be treated as the enemy."

She left the room, her heels echoing down the marble hallway.

Later that night, her informant, Matteo, arrived. He was young, reckless, but useful.

"I found something," he said, handing her a flash drive. "Footage from the docks — one of your own met with a Volkov associate."

The footage was grainy but clear enough. Her eyes narrowed as the traitor's face came into view.

Luciano.

Her father's most trusted advisor. The man who had held her hand at the funeral.

A quiet fury rose inside her.

"How long?" she asked.

"Months, maybe more," Matteo replied.

Sienna stood up, calm but deadly. "Prepare the black room."

***

One hour later, Luciano was brought in — tied, blindfolded, and thrown to the ground.

She walked in silently, heels clicking on the cement floor. Removing the blindfold, she crouched in front of him.

"Why?" she asked softly.

Luciano didn't speak.

"I trusted you," she whispered. "My father died believing you were loyal."

Still nothing.

She stood and nodded at Aria, who handed her a blade. She didn't flinch as she drew it across the man's sleeve — not to harm him, but to remind him that she held the power now.

"You will die slowly," she said, "unless you give me one name. Just one. Who's behind you?"

Luciano trembled. Then he whispered, "Volkov isn't the enemy."

"He's just the puppet. The real hand behind all this... is in your bloodline."

Before she could ask more, he bit down — a cyanide capsule.

Dead.

Sienna stood frozen. Bloodline? What did he mean?

Aria stepped forward. "What do we do now?"

Sienna stared at the lifeless body.

"We find out what he meant. And we prepare for war."
