Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

At first this dimension was the size of the moon, in other words it was tiny…

I mean yes it's pretty big as far as available dimensions that allow for life to exist and yet it was too small for what I wished to create.

Incredible right? How can something the size of the moon be considered small by any stretch of the imagination?

But the fact is that this domain was simply not large enough for all I had planned.

When I first started I envisioned a place where I can recreate everything I bore witness to during my exploration of the outside.

I wished to recreate what made every world special and for that I needed large areas dedicated to each and every culture that existed within those very worlds, and not just that, I also wanted to preserve the many cultures and time periods that will come to be in this very world. From the Romans to those who will make the renaissance the marvel that it will be.

The solution to this is deceptively simple, all I would really need is to create more land. However my home dimension had a defined space, in other words I would first need to enlarge the spatial limits before I could create more landmass.

Naturally formed dimensions are more rigid in their structure as compared to those artificially created hence why relying only on my personal power was simply unfeasible, instead I decided to make use of the abundant magic naturally released by all the residents who call this dimension home.

I created a ritual bound to a number of pillars placed on strategic locations to collect some of the free roaming magic and feed it to my dimension to grow its spatial layer.

This happened a century after I founded my faction, that is to say that after centuries my home dimension has grown to the size of Neptune, even if the land area is only about three times the size of earth.

With such a large playground at my disposal I took the liberty to designate certain areas as domains for my descendants to rule over but the bulk of my territory I decided to use to recreate worlds I have previously visited.

From Avatar and Planetos to a certain multiverse that presented minor changes in human history that eventually cascaded into drastic changes further down the line, and finally to the Shinobi world I am currently exploring.

The way my home dimension is structured reflects the major stops during my exploration of the outside.

I start by recreating the land itself with the occasional structures that managed to catch my eye, followed by turning the people of those worlds into NPCs for the sake of convenience.

The given domain is then ruled by a king or queen who in truth are only there for my entertainment.

For example I recreated the Fire Nation and made Azula the Fire Lord, and whilst yes she indeed acts as the ruler of the Fire Nation she remains no more than my puppet. After all, obedience to me is one of her core directives, something that she is completely incapable of going against.

This way I managed to dodge having to do paper work all whilst creating special identities for each region reinforced by the presence of a nominal ruler.

I intended to create a new continent for the Shinobi to inhabit but given recent events I chose to save my strength for the Greeks.

And indeed it did not take long for the Greeks to muster their armies and try to invade my dimension.

Five Titans accompanied by an army of Greek monsters descended on an uninhabited, and thus unprotected part of my domain.

That was due to the protections put in place to deny access to any important location all while creating a defined battlefield for any invader.

I have no idea how the Biblical god managed to restructure the Heaven Dimension to create a literal Gate to Heaven so this was the best alternative I could come up with.

This way my side will have full home advantage at no cost, and thus allow for traps to be set in advance.

That being said, traps simply weren't enough, if anyone dared strike at my home then they either have powerful backing or they are fools seeking a more elaborate form of suiside.

In this case the Greeks are a powerful faction with armies of monsters along with the occasional demigods.

But to me none of that mattered for no matter how large or powerful their army might be it could never equal mine.

After all, I have millions of NPCs that can be revived infinitely. All they would need is an injection of magic at a guild core and no matter how many times they died they will return and once more fight for me.

The only way to stop that would be to destroy the cristal that holds their souls and data, something for which I have contingencies.

So I am not worried about the coming battle, what does worry me though is the presence of five Titans.

I knew that Kronos would not let my challenge go unanswered but to send five Titans, two of which are Atlas and Iapetus, some of his strongest lieutenants… this was unexpected.

If I had to deal with those two on my own then I would likely lose but Sara is the perfect counter to Iapetus after all he is a god of Mortality and Human Life, making him the perfect prey for Sara's Decay.

I on the other hand will have to take on Atlas along with the other three Titans he brought along.

All in all this fight is more balanced than it first appeared to be.

From what I can sense Atlass holds the same energy reserves as me, in other words he too is at the peak of the God Class but the three who accompanied him barely make it into the God Class, and this is me being generous.

Then again Gods get a massive boost when they enter their True Form. The drawback being that they would die permanently if killed in that state.

Hopefully they won't dare risk it, but I don't like to rely on chance so I will need to show them that I hold enough power to kill them at any time.

I could erase the army they brought with them, but honestly that would be a waste of energy. Fact is armies are of little relevance in battles between beings of our level.

Instead I chose to take out one of the three weaker Titans, this way they will see me as a real threat and aim to take me out first.

Before they could start with their threats and postoring I charged at the only female Titan in the group and before I was even halfway to her location I threw my spear through a wormhole positioned right before me with the exit being her back.

This is one of the many reasons why attacking others in their home is seen as a foolish move, you can't know what home-field advantage they might have.

Unless you have my sight hihi.

In this case I switched the settings of the pillars I use for spatial expansion into reinforcing my hold over the spatial domain. This grants me two advantages, the first being the reinforcement of space has on my dimension reducing the after affects our battle will create. The second advantage is my ability to bypass some of the natural authority gods have over their immediate location, in this case I was able to create a wormhole in a way I wouldn't be able to do without a home-field advantage.

The spear pierced through the Titanesse but before it could go completely through her an explosion capable of erasing a continent erupted from her core. I limited the area of effect of my attack as not to actually destroy this continent all while affecting the rest of the Titans.

Nothing less than this much damage is needed to take down even the weakest of the Titans.

I tried to call my spear back but someone was preventing me from summoning it back, Atlas I would wager.

No matter, I summoned another weapon, a sword and shield this time and continued with my charge.

The first person I ran into was Atlas himself wielding my own spear against me.

Oh the poor man, using my own weapon against me? How stupid.

The brute was using my spear as though it were a club, however the moment our weapons were about to meet I dematerialized my spear with just a thought resulting in my long sword slicing deep into his arm.

What? Do you think I am stupid enough to challenge the literal Titan God of Strength to a contest of arms? Fuck No! I am strong but I am nowhere near as strong as this barbarian.

For a Titan like Atlas that was a mere flesh wound, unworthy of his notice, that was until the decay took hold.

The sword I used was not a construct like the spear I first wielded nor a creation born of my power. No this sword is the very sword Sara used during her battle with Hyperion. Some of her power stuck to the sword as it was meant to since it was made by the improved version of Goblin Silver.

The moment I saw the wound fester I sent the sword back to Sara, now she can join the fight.

The look on Atlas' eyes told me that he knew exactly what just happened to him, no doubt Hyperion told them of the power over Decay Sara possesses.

Now I can be sure that he won't use his true form since that would only allow for the Decay to spread even faster, Atlas is now forced to fight with a hand behind his back.

To that thought I gave him a nasty smile.

Atlas took a step back allowing the other titans to swarm me, however now that Sara has her weapon back she charged Iapetus.

Iapetus immediately started running the other way at the mere sight of her; after all she is the bane of his existence, even more so than Hyperion.

Hyperion lost because he underestimated her whilst not knowing of her Unique Skills, Iapetus on the other hand is well informed and due to his domains he is in a worse place than Hyperion.

The question is why would Kronos send him when he knows him to be a bad match up with my girl?

The answer was easy, Iapetus holds the domains of Mortality and Human Life, the first especially would allow him to curse an immortal with mortality or in the case of a mortal suck the lifespan out of them.

He might just be the most dangerous of the Titans currently present.

I shared my thoughts and conjectures with Sara through our Soul Corridor and returned my focus to my own opponents.

Sadly Atlas was not as weakened as I would wish but that was of little concern, all I really wanted from that attack was to prevent him from using his True Form.

My eyes turned to the two remaining Titans covering Atlas as he tried to heal or remove the Decay.

With a quick scan I learned the first was named Pallas the Titan god of Warfare. The second was even less relevant, all I cared to remember was that he is a god of streams and rivers, so nothing to write home about.

I moved to reduce their number further but Atlas did not allow it, he charged me with the full intent to kill written all over his face.

I used the same trick with which I started this battle, I created a wormhole that led to the back of Pallas aiming to remove him from this fight but he is a god of warfare for a reason.

He immediately guessed my intentions and instead of confronting me directly he once more retreated behind Atlas.

The most the two extras could contribute would be to distract me, something I won't allow.

I immediately created another wormhole but this time I did not charge instead I allowed Atlas' punch to go through, landing on the weakest of the group.

I capitalised on their lack of coordination by finishing off the god of rivers.

The way I fight goes against everything the people of DxD understand. They fight by unleashing massive attacks at one another or by pummeling each other, something I find to be uninspired.

Perspective is one of my greatest advantages as I have infinite worlds to learn from. Thanks to that I can see how awful the people in DxD are at fighting.

In a way by reducing their number I made things harder for myself since my two remaining opponents are either too strong in the case of Atlas or clever enough to anticipate my moves as is the case with Pallas.

I can't expect assistance from Sara due to her being cautious with Iapetus which is prolonging a battle that was decided the moment Sara became his opponent.

I decided to allow the rhythm of the battle to continue, after all my Sara will soon claim victory and with her at my side victory is guaranteed.

I can see that my opponents came to the same conclusion but as both Titans and Gods their pride will not allow them to surrender.

Oh how fun maybe I could capture one of them, I never had a Titan for a pet.

Author's Note

I would like to apologize this isn't my best work but I had a bad week, I suffer from insomnia and this week was particularly bad. I know that I made mistakes in this chapter but don't worry I will get to fixing things once I get some sleep.

Thank you 🙏
