Chapter 45 - Going Viral

The car rolled through the gates of the penthouse. Suho was still resting in her arms, his face buried against her shoulder. his breath is slow and even. Sleep had finally claimed him after the exhaustion from the last night, mixed with everything that had happened today, had finally caught up to him.

Hauen smiled softly, watching him cling to her even in sleep. His lashes brushed against his cheeks, his hair a mess, and the softest pout lingered on his lips. His face looked peaceful now, boyish, vulnerable, and far too adorable for her to wake him.

Her heart melted. This man, who had chased her down highways by risking his life and crying his heart out, was now sleeping like a tired child on her shoulder. She didn't want to move, didn't want to wake him… but she had to, because they were home.

"Suho…" she whispered, brushing his hair gently off his forehead.

He flinched a little, blinking groggily before looking around, eyes heavy with sleep.

"We're home," she said with a smile.

He blinked again, disoriented for a moment, then nodded lazily, his face puffy, hair tousled in the most endearing way.

"Come, let's get you inside," she said softly.

He let her guide him out of the car, still half-dazed, stumbling a little as they walked. She caught him immediately, steadying him with both hands.

As they entered,

Bora froze at the sight of them. "Ma'am…" she gasped softly, eyes wide.

Hauen smiled, her voice warm and certain. "I'm back, Bora. For good this time."

For a moment, Bora just stared, then a bright smile broke across her face, her eyes glistening with joy. "Really, ma'am?"

Hauen nodded, her smile gentle. "Really. But for now, he's exhausted. I'll be back in a while, okay?"

Bora nodded quickly, still beaming, her happiness almost spilling over.

Hauen led Suho toward his room, his head still resting against her shoulder, her hand never leaving his.

She helped him lie down on the bed and tucked the blanket around him carefully. Her fingers brushed through his hair as she leaned in to kiss his forehead.

"Get some rest, okay? I'll wake you up for lunch," she whispered softly.

He blinked lazily, nodding as his eyes fluttered shut again. Watching him like that, drained, vulnerable, yet finally safe, made her heart tighten. A small, affectionate smile curved her lips.

She bent down and kissed his forehead once more. His lips twitched faintly at the touch of her lips, as if even in sleep he could feel her there.

"I love you," he mumbled sleepily, barely audible.

Her smile deepened, eyes soft. "I love you too, teddy bear," she whispered back.

A faint smile curved on his lips before he drifted off again, his breathing even and peaceful.

Hauen stepped out of the bedroom quietly, closing the door behind her.

"Ma'am, I've kept your luggage in your room," Mr. Lee said politely.

"Thank you, Mr. Lee. Also… please arrange to bring the car from the highway, the one Suho drove," she added softly.

"Yes, ma'am. I was just about to leave for that," he replied.

She smiled and nodded. "Alright, drive safe."

As Mr. Lee walked out, she turned toward the kitchen.

"What are you cooking, Bora?" she asked gently, stepping in.

Bora turned with a wide smile. "Every special dish, ma'am!"

Hauen chuckled. "Every dish? Is it a feast or what?"

"Yes! Today's a special day, like a festival. Because you're back home forever!" Bora said excitedly.

"Oh, stop it, Bora. You're embarrassing me," Hauen said, laughing softly.

"No, ma'am… It's true," Bora said with a fond smile. "When you left, even if it's for a few hours, this house felt so empty, so dull. But now that you're back, it feels alive again."

Hauen's heart softened at her words. "You're exaggerating," she said gently, shaking her head. "Come on, let me help you with the feast."

Bora smiled even wider, and just like old times, the two of them got busy in the kitchen, chopping, stirring, and laughing together, filling the house once again with warmth and life.

The afternoon sun filtered through the living room curtains, painting everything in warm gold.Suho was still half-drowsy on the couch, his head resting on Hauen's lap while she gently combed her fingers through his messy hair. The TV murmured softly in the background, light chatter, celebrity gossip, music show clips, a peaceful hum that filled the quiet.

Everything was calm. Almost too calm.

Until a very familiar face flashed across the screen.

"Breaking News!" the anchor's cheerful voice boomed. "A dramatic real-life love confession on Seoul Highway has gone viral this morning! The man seen stopping traffic to declare his love has been identified as business tycoon Kim Suho, and the woman is his wife, Kim Hauen!"

Hauen froze. Her fingers halted mid-motion in his hair.

Suho blinked his sleepy eyes open. "Hmm?" he murmured, half-asleep and clueless.

But when she turned her horrified gaze toward the screen, his eyes followed, only to widen in shock.

There they were, them, hugging and crying in the middle of the highway, cars slowing down, people filming from their windows. The footage replayed from different angles, the scene cut dramatically with background music and captions like 'Love Stops Traffic!'

"Oh no…" Hauen whispered under her breath.

Suho shot upright instantly, his sleep gone in an instant. "Wait, what is that?!"

The anchor continued gleefully, "For the first time in history, a high-profile couple's emotional confession caught live on the highway! What happened between the Kim couple? Why was Mr. Kim crying so much? Did they fight? Was Mrs. Kim leaving him? Whatever it was, it looked like a scene straight out of a drama! Netizens are calling it The Highway Love Story. Hashtags trending include #CuteCouple #KDramaOnHighway #LoveOnHighway, with people calling them 'the most romantic pair in Korea!'"

Suho's jaw dropped. "They filmed that?! On the highway?! Everyone saw—"

"Apparently, half of Seoul saw, and now the Entire nation," Hauen sighed, pressing her palm to her forehead.

Just then, Bora peeked out from the kitchen, biting back laughter. "Sir, ma'am… You both are trending number one right now. My cousin sent me a TikTok edit, people are calling you couple goals!"

"Couple goals?" Suho repeated, horrified. "We were literally crying!"

"Yes," Bora said with a grin, "but very emotionally. You've set a new standard, crying with passion on a highway. People are calling it love in its purest form."

Hauen groaned, hiding her face. "Oh God… this is so embarrassing. It's all because of you."

"Me?!" Suho's eyes widened. "You're the one who left me in the first place! I was just rescuing our love life!"

Hauen glared. "You nearly died rescuing it!"

They were mid-bickering when Suho's phone buzzed loudly on the table. The caller ID flashed: Haraboji.

Both of them froze.
