Alex's POV:
What the hell was Xavier doing sitting next to me? After everything that happened this morning, after he admitted that nothing happened, he still had the audacity to act like it was all okay, like we were just two old friends who had never done anything wrong. Like everything was fine between us. What a joke.
The nerve of him! Did he think I would just smile at him and pretend like we were good old friends again?
Unbelievable.
I stared straight ahead, refusing to acknowledge him, my hands clenched in my lap. My mind was spinning. Didn't he understand? Didn't he get it? This was not a game. I couldn't just pretend like nothing had happened. He couldn't just sit here like he hadn't spent the morning making me question everything I knew about myself and the fact he charmed my stupid wolf.
And the worst part? He agreed. He literally agreed when I said "This morning meant nothing."
