Xavier POV:
She made a strangled sound and turned sharply away from me. "Turn around."
I did.
Immediately.
Mostly because I liked being alive.
Behind me, I heard fabric rustle as she shifted her shirt properly, tugging it down, trying to reclaim some dignity from the dirt and grass and lingering wolf-instinct haze.
I scrubbed a hand over my face.
This was… not how I'd imagined things going.
When she finally cleared her throat, sharp and clipped, I turned back slowly.
She looked furious. Disheveled. Radiant.
And very, very aware of the fact that I was still naked.
"You didn't bring clothes," she said flatly.
"Nope."
"Idiot."
"Fair."
She huffed, looked around the empty field, then sighed like the universe had personally wronged her. "There's a storage shed near the track. Lost and found. You can—" She gestured vaguely. "Cover yourself."
I grinned. Couldn't help it. "You worried about me, Alex?"
"I am worried about public indecency charges," she shot back. "Move."
