Alex's POV
Oh, well, isn't this just perfect. Xavier finally puts me down in a dimly lit alley behind the hotel. No big deal, just your typical romantic evening for a girl who's being abducted against her will by one of the three biggest alphas to ever exist. The alley seemed as dark as the mess I was already in. The only light came from a few streetlamps, their feeble glow barely cutting through the night. Not that I needed the light. I've got a wolf, and I can see just fine in the dark, thank you very much.
He stands in front of me, blocking my way — not in a fun, "let's go for a walk" kind of way, but in that brooding, all-too-familiar manner that says, you're not going anywhere, little girl.
I mean, come on. What's next? A dramatic speech about how he's been secretly in love with me all along? This better not be one of those stupid "brooding hero" moments. We've all had enough of those.
