Khael's POV
The discussion I had with Darius at that lunch remained ingrained in my mind until I went back home.
"I will keep your schedule free for the rest of the month, rest up". Zach said as our car left the airport.
I barely paid attention to what he was saying, I don't really care about all he was talking about. I haven't really been functioning properly these past days. And it really surprised me. When did I fall this deep?
"Alright". I replied and kept looking outside the car's window.
And for the first time in a long time I went back to my own apartment, not his. I can't face him just yet, since there is a very high chance I would run into him.
I unlocked the door and it felt empty to a point that it was suffocating.
But my heart felt more suffocating.
A loud shrill sound startled me out of my thoughts and I searched for my phone among my stuff.
Having no one to call had rendered it almost useless the last few days, that I don't even care where I kept it.
