Chapter 91 - Burning face

I sat on the velvet sofa beneath the dim studio lights, a crystal glass resting loosely in my fingers. The set around me was silent, every camera fixed on me, every pair of eyes watching.

I lifted the glass and took a slow sip, letting the bitter taste linger on my tongue as I breathed out shakily.

"My love… it was one-sided," I whispered, my voice trembling. "But that's okay. Loving him was my own choice, and I don't regret it. If there's a next life… I hope I meet someone who loves me first."

My lips curved into the faintest, bittersweet smile.

Then the glass slipped from my hand.

CRASH!

It hit the floor with a sharp shatter, fragments scattering across the wooden stage like broken memories. I closed my eyes slowly, letting the sorrow settle in.

"Cut!"

Director Ye's voice echoed loudly, snapping reality back into place. Applause burst around me. Some people clapped loudly, some softly, but every sound carried warmth.

I opened my eyes and stood, bowing slightly.
