Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Lin Family Main Hall—Blood Begins to Spill

Lin Yi nodded and stepped into the Lin family's main hall, muttering to himself: tonight, he would finally settle all debts with his original body and the Lin family once and for all.

Inside the main hall, Patriarch Lin Cheng sat upright in his seat of authority.

On either side were the family's key figures, including Lin Feng and his mother, Zhang Cuilan.

At this moment, everyone's hearts were restless.

No one could have imagined that Lin Yi—the so-called waste whose meridians had been destroyed and dantian shattered—would not only recover his cultivation but also have slain Lin Chen and Lin Dong in succession.

Even Wang, the steward of the Martial Arts Hall, had fallen into his hands.

The eldest and second heads of the Lin family, Lin Ming and Lin Li, grimaced deeply. Their children were either dead or crippled, and the situation could not have been more humiliating.

Lin Yi's younger brother, Lin Feng, clenched and unclenched his fists, his mind in turmoil.

He had gone so far as to secretly poison Lin Yi with Shen Zhaoxue to remove him as the greatest obstacle to inheriting the family legacy. He had personally confirmed that Lin Yi's meridians were destroyed, his dantian shattered, and that it would be impossible for him to practice again.

Yet… somehow, Lin Yi had miraculously recovered.

What had happened?

Zhang Cuilan, Lin Feng's mother, shared the same fury and confusion.

The poisoning scheme had been entirely her plan. How could the "waste" she had personally destroyed rise from the ashes?

Regret filled her heart. If she had known this day would come, she would have had Lin Feng finish the job and eliminate him.

Patriarch Lin Cheng outwardly remained calm, but inwardly, he felt a sense of satisfaction.

Lin Yi's restored cultivation was undoubtedly good news for him.

What he was really thinking, however, was how to "punish" Lin Yi once he arrived—both to give the eldest and second heads a taste of justice.

"What a headache…" Lin Cheng muttered under his breath, but a corner of his mouth betrayed a faint, uncontainable smile.

After Lin Yi was crippled, the rising star of Qingshan County's younger generation had been Chen Hai, the eldest son of the Chen family, who had recently broken into the Bone Forging stage.

Now, Lin Yi had not only regained his cultivation but could easily overpower Wang, a first-level Bone Forging practitioner. His strength clearly surpassed Chen Hai's.

How could Lin Cheng not be pleased?

Everyone in the hall harbored their own thoughts, waiting for Lin Yi to make his entrance.

At that moment, a youthful figure appeared at the entrance.

The boy's features were delicate, and his frame slightly slender—Lin Yi himself.

He ignored everyone's gaze, casually pulled out a chair, and sat down.

"Looking for me?" he asked, his voice calm.

At this, everyone furrowed their brows.

Every person in the hall was either a senior or a core figure of the Lin family, yet Lin Yi sat so casually, showing them no respect whatsoever.

It was undeniably arrogant.

Lin Feng suddenly stood, his voice sharp:

"Lin Yi! Who told you to sit? Get up immediately!"

Lin Yi slowly turned his gaze to Lin Feng.

In a cold tone, he said:

"In terms of generation, I am your elder brother. In terms of strength, in front of me, you are worth less than a newborn puppy. What right do you have to shout at me?"

Lin Feng was left speechless, his face flushing blue and white as he struggled to retort:

"You… you are so disrespectful! I was… managing you on behalf of father!"

"Managing me on his behalf?" Lin Yi scoffed. "Doesn't he have a mouth of his own? Does he need a worthless brat like you to speak for him?"

"You—"

Lin Feng trembled with rage, trying to say more.

At that moment, Patriarch Lin Cheng's commanding voice cut through the hall:

"Enough! Silence, all of you!"

"Hmph!"

Lin Feng snorted in frustration, grudgingly sitting back down.

The main hall fell into an instant, heavy silence.

Lin Cheng's gaze fixed on Lin Yi, his voice low and stern: "Lin Chen, Lin Ling, and Lin Dong… you killed them?"

"Yes," Lin Yi replied casually.

"Why did you kill them?"

"They made me unhappy, so naturally, I made them even unhappier—so I killed them!"

"Bang!"

Lin Cheng slammed his hand down onto the table beside him, making the teacups jump. He roared in fury: "Speak properly!"

Lin Yi's expression turned cold.

"I already did," he said flatly.

Once again, the hall sank into a dead silence.

Lin Cheng's face darkened to the point it seemed it could drip water.

He never expected that after regaining his strength, his son would become so arrogant and disrespectful.

It was time to give him a lesson.

Lin Cheng's gaze flicked toward the second head, Lin Li, and he gestured with his hand, his voice deep and commanding:

"Second head, go. Make him suffer a little."

Lin Cheng's reasoning for having the second head act was twofold: to make Lin Yi pay a price, and also to give him some explanation—after all, Lin Yi had killed his children.

Lin Li nodded and slowly rose to his feet, fists clenched tightly, the joints cracking audibly.

A powerful aura erupted from him, revealing his cultivation at the third level of Bone Forging.

The murderous intent in his eyes was unmistakable as they locked onto Lin Yi.

Lin Feng's heart leapt with satisfaction.

You worthless brat, acting so arrogant—I'll see if you can still stay so brazen later!

The eldest elder, Lin Ming, watched coldly, while Zhang Cuilan, Lin Feng's mother, glared at Lin Yi with hatred.

Everyone else in the hall waited eagerly for the second head to strike, ready to teach this insolent boy a lesson.

He was far too cocky!

The next moment, Lin Li moved.

He stomped the ground violently, launching himself forward like an arrow, reaching Lin Yi in an instant.

Red flames flickered along his forearms, carrying an intense heatwave.

His fist surged toward Lin Yi with terrifying force.

Yet Lin Yi remained unmoved, expression calm, still seated.

Muscles on his forearm bulged as he channeled the intent of the Crushing Cloud Fist, raising his own fist to meet Lin Li's attack.

"Bang!"

The collision produced a heavy, deafening crash.

But what followed was horrifying.

Lin Li's arm bent at a grotesque, unnatural angle. The pale bone protruded through his skin, raw and exposed to the air—gruesome to behold.

"Ah!"

He let out a harrowing scream, his body flinging backward like a kite cut from its string, smashing violently into a main hall beam.

Dust rained down from the roof.

Lin Li's face twisted in pain and disbelief. His eyes were wide, filled with agony.

As a third-level Bone Forging practitioner with a second-tier martial skill, Blazing Fist, he had thought he could easily crush Lin Yi.

He never expected to be defeated in an instant.

Lin Yi gave him no chance to recover.

In a blur, he reappeared before Lin Li, raising his fist without hesitation, smashing it into Lin Li's forehead with brutal precision.

"Crack!"

The sound was like a watermelon exploding.

Lin Li's head was obliterated instantly.

Blood splattered across the hall, thick and pungent, filling the main hall with a coppery, metallic scent.
