It was not a short ride from their place, but it was not the typical place that she assumed Nolan would go to. She pictured her husband choosing a private Michelin restaurant over a little family diner like this. Therefore, it was a surprise that he would take her to this place.
The small diner in the middle of the busy city district was not what she had in mind. Nonetheless, she liked it. It might not be some fancy restaurant, but it looked cozy and decent.
"How did you find this place?" Emily asked as he guided her to a seat, acting like a perfect gentleman.
The shop was a reasonable size, but she noticed that the place was crowded with regular patrons and passersby. Luckily, they were able to secure a table in the far corner where they could have some privacy.
"The internet," Nolan nonchalantly answered. "I saw that this place was trending, so I thought we should check it out." He answered as he snapped a finger at the woman in a checkered uniform.
