10.1 The Tesseract Opens
The day the sky tore open over Stark Tower was a day Ronin had anticipated for years. The massive, shimmering blue portal, fueled by the Tesseract, unleashed a swarm of Chitauri invaders, their alien aircraft slicing through the Manhattan skyline. The Battle of New York had begun.
Ronin was not on the front lines in Manhattan yet. He was watching from the tallest building in Queens, his dark Ronin MK-I suit perfectly camouflaged.
"Aether, status on the Avengers team assembly," Ronin commanded, the roar of the Chitauri aircraft barely registering in his HUD.
"Iron Man, Captain America, and the Hulk are engaging the primary force. Thor has entered the battle. Black Widow and Hawkeye are providing tactical support," Aether reported. "Your intervention is required, Ronin, but must be surgically precise. The Eye of Foresight is mapping high-probability failure points for the Avengers."
The primary threats were obvious: the sheer volume of Chitauri soldiers and the destructive power of their Leviathans. Ronin, however, knew the true weak point was the portal generator atop Stark Tower.
"Felicia's favor is now due," Ronin stated. "Aether, send the encrypted, anonymous message to the Black Cat's primary comms: 'Rooftop. Tesseract. Now.' Use the emergency code we established."
10.2 The Arsenal of the Phantom
Ronin flew towards Manhattan, his suit's Ki boosters pushed to their safe maximum. He was a silent, black streak amidst the fire and chaos. He was still fighting in his base form, relying on his massive Saiyan strength, his Z-Sense speed, and the power of the Gate of Babylon.
His role was simple: Area Denial and Tactical Support.
He intercepted the first wave of Chitauri fighters heading for a civilian evacuation zone. He didn't use energy blasts. He used Noble Phantasms.
"Gate of Babylon: Fabricate Spears of Scáthach—Low Tier," Ronin commanded.
Dozens of sleek, dark-blue, perfectly weighted spears materialized and fired from the Gate's projection points on his wrist bracers. They weren't the mystical Gáe Bolg, but they were perfectly sharp, unbreakable kinetic projectiles. They tore through the Chitauri fliers and soldiers with devastating efficiency, exploding them into metallic shards.
He then shifted his focus to the ground troops, who were swarming the streets, overwhelming the NYPD and the occasional, brave civilian.
"Gate of Babylon: Fabricate The Bows of the Amazon—Low Tier," Ronin ordered.
He projected several automatic bows—ancient, mythical constructs that fired volleys of magically enhanced arrows. These arrows weren't designed to kill, but to incapacitate by destroying the joints and power cores of the Chitauri armor. Ronin became a whirlwind of manufactured weaponry, clearing entire blocks in seconds.
10.3 The Alliance and the Final Attack
Ronin met Captain America and Black Widow in the midtown financial district. The two heroes were cornered, desperately fighting off a massive wave of Chitauri foot soldiers.
"Who are you?!" Captain America shouted, shield-bashing a soldier.
"Support! Keep pushing!" Ronin boomed back. He didn't wait for permission.
He summoned two massive, razor-sharp Katana of the Oni-Slayer (Level 4 Artifacts), not for himself, but for the other heroes. He threw one to Captain America and one to Black Widow. The swords were impossibly light and sharp, slicing through the Chitauri armor like butter.
"Thanks for the gear!" Cap grunted, surprised but not hesitating to use the weapon.
Ronin covered their advance, clearing a path through the deluge of aliens using a non-stop volley of weaponry from the Gate. His presence alone allowed the Avengers to stabilize their position.
Meanwhile, Felicia Hardy—wearing her full Black Cat suit—arrived at Stark Tower, having intercepted Ronin's urgent message. She wasn't fighting aliens; she was climbing the structure, using her expertise to navigate the destroyed tower.
She found the partially disabled portal generator and the still-active Loki.
"Loki!" Felicia called out, distracting the trickster god just as Black Widow, now joined by Ronin, arrived on the rooftop.
"You really think a small human can stop a God?" Loki sneered, raising the Mind Scepter.
Black Widow moved to engage Loki directly. Ronin's mission was different.
"Aether, confirm the location of the nuke," Ronin hissed, watching the approaching military jet on his HUD.
"Confirmed. Colonel Rhodes is tracking it. Target: Midtown Portal," Aether replied. "Probability of successful intercept by Iron Man is 78%. Probability of portal closure is only 30%."
Ronin knew the numbers weren't good enough. The only way to guarantee the portal's closure was to neutralize the Tesseract itself, and for that, he needed the King's ultimate hand.
10.4 The King's Final Card
While Black Widow engaged Loki, Ronin faced the massive, swirling blue portal. He let his Ki build, not to transform, but to focus. The entire energy reserve of the Gate of Babylon was ready to be focused on one single artifact.
System Notification: Major Heroic Action (Supporting Avengers/Invasion Counter) achieved.
Gate of Babylon: Access Level 6 Unlock. True Divine Weapons and Limited Reality Marble Constructs.
Ronin took a deep breath. "Aether, I need the ultimate defensive/offensive Noble Phantasm. Something that can guarantee the portal's closure without damaging the city. Fabricate Rho Aias."
A faint, but distinct, golden energy enveloped Ronin's hand. He wasn't summoning the full, seven-layered shield, but the conceptual core of the ultimate defense: a massive, seven-layered flower-shaped shield, shimmering with protective energy and radiating the authority of its mythological origin.
The shield, a pure defensive Noble Phantasm, was designed to stop any form of projectile. Ronin hurled the conceptual shield towards the base of the Tesseract generator.
The Rho Aias shield didn't hit the Tesseract; it enclosed it, stabilizing the unstable cube and neutralizing the energy flow. The Tesseract was instantly shielded, and the portal, starved of its power source, began to shrink and flicker violently.
With the portal failing, Loki was distracted. Black Widow took the opportunity, delivering a devastating kick that knocked the Scepter from his hand.
The battle was won.
10.5 Retreat and Resurrection
Ronin watched as Iron Man returned from diverting the nuke, Captain America resumed control of the troops, and Loki was subdued. His work was done.
"Aether, retreat. Immediately," Ronin commanded, leaping off the Tower.
As he flew away, he passed Felicia, who was watching the scene with a mixture of awe and calculation.
"You used something beautiful, Ronin," she whispered into her comms.
Ronin simply replied, "Keep the secret, Cat. We have a lot more fighting to do."
He returned to his lab, exhausted and thrilled. He had fought gods and aliens, saved the city, and kept his primary secret intact. He had also unlocked the final, most dangerous tier of the Gate of Babylon—the True Divine Weapons.
His life would never be the same. The world now knew the Avengers. And Ronin Sharma was now a shadowy force multiplier, ready for the Multiverse
