Chapter 89 - Golden Stone II

Slowly, she raised one hand and opened her fingers. The golden gem rested in her palm, glowing like a miniature sun. Sam stared at it for a moment in complete disbelief.

"Hooooooly~~"

He snatched the gem from her hand and immediately turned around without another word.

"I'm freaking rich! YAH-HAHAHAHAHA!!!" His shrill laughter echoed through the ship.

Rolina's face dropped straight onto the floor.

Thunk!

"Asshole..." she muttered.

The little blue dog hurried over and curled up beside her.

"Slurp, slurp."

The creature opened its mouth wide, its long tongue dangling out as drool splattered across her helmet. "I'm already soaked, sweetheart," Rolina sighed.

Sam turned around with a huge grin, showing off his rainbow-colored teeth.

"Hey~~ Don't be such a loser,"

"Oh really?! Your Father, Your Mother, Your Brother, Your Sister!" Rolina fired back with a full-family insult. "I'm the one who took it so it's MINE!"

"Heh. Let's see what this little guy actually is."

Sam shrugged and swaggered toward the cockpit like a rapper. "Huh! Yo! Yo! Richy, i'm here, ya freaky."

Rolina stood up and removed her helmet, wiping the sweat from her face before following him into the cockpit.

"I'm telling you right now—if this thing sells for a hundred grand, I'll lick your feet for three months."

"And if it costs a million?" Rolina asked.

That only made Sam grin wider. He reached out, grabbed the back of her neck, and shoved her head against the control console. Despite the impact, she didn't seem hurt at all.

"Until you learn the meaning of being satisfied. Hehehe..." Sam laughed like a cartoon villain.

"And what if I want it now?"

Rolina bared her teeth, looking as though she wanted something from her partner.

Sam tilted his head back and thought for a moment.

"Hmmmm~~ You're a dangerous woman. Hah! Sss—! So damn tempting. But I think my answer is..."

He leaned close to her ear and whispered:

"No Way, Biatch! WAHAHAHAHA!!!" Sam grabbed a handful of Rolina's hair and yanked her backward. "Now! It's time to celebrate!"

Click!

He activated the autopilot and set a course for their destination.

Ahead of them, the ship faced directly toward the blazing sun.

Holding the gem up against the sunlight, he admired its beauty.

"Yo! It's like I'm holding the sun itself! Wooooo~ Hahahaha!"

Sam cackled like a cartoon supervillain drunk on power.

He danced around the cockpit, shaking his hips wildly.

"WAAAH! HAHAHA— ACK! Ugh! Choked on my own spit again!"

"You're honestly the biggest idiot ever born," Rolina said.

And with those final words, the ship accelerated away from the asteroid belt at high speed.
