The humans only played defense against the attacks of the Scyther tribe, fearing they would injure the Scyther. However, the Scyther were different. They fought until their last breath, fearless of death. Consequently, the humans began sustaining casualties. Having no choice and seeing that the Scyther refused to yield, they resorted to lethal force. The Scyther leader died in this battle.
Ultimately, Heracross's Big Brother arrived. According to Heracross, even when its Big Brother was young, it enjoyed wandering around and challenging powerful Pokémon. Its acquaintance with the Scyther leader also began after a battle. The two often fought in the time that followed, and their relationship gradually improved.
Conveniently, its Big Brother was not far away this time and rushed over. Relying on its own immense strength, not a single opposing Pokémon could defeat it, and the attackers were quickly driven away. However, it had arrived too late. The Scyther leader was too severely injured and could not hold on. Before dying, it entrusted its child, the current Scizor, to its Big Brother.
Initially, Heracross's Big Brother was unwilling, but the Scyther leader desperately pleaded. Finally, it had no choice but to accept. The Scyther leader wanted its Big Brother to train its child well. The human attack had made it realize how weak they were; staying in the tribe would never allow it to possess its Big Brother's power. Therefore, it wanted its Big Brother to train Scizor, hoping it could reach its level of strength.
After listening to Heracross's explanation, Eichi sighed quietly. He guessed that the humans in black uniforms Heracross mentioned were members of Team Rocket. Only they would enjoy doing such a thing.
He turned to look at Scizor. Knowing its own background, Scizor showed no emotion and remained extremely quiet. It simply went back to the bedroom, returned to its bed, and did not make a sound.
Eichi did not say anything, telling Beedrill, "It's probably best to let it have some peace."
Beedrill nodded without a word. Eichi then asked, "So, when did it start paying attention to me?"
Heracross then continued its story.
At that time, its Big Brother already had Heracross, and dealing with just Heracross was headache enough. Now, there was one more Scyther. This was when Eichi came into the picture. Its Big Brother had known Eichi since the Rattata Poaching Group incident. At the time, it had also sensed the danger in that area, but the distance was too great. By the time it arrived, Eichi had already resolved the situation. Furthermore, Eichi treated the injured Pokémon, which left a very good impression on its Big Brother.
Next, its Big Brother began its journey of spying. It later discovered that Eichi's Pokémon training methods were very good, so it wanted to test Eichi's strength to see if he could properly care for the Scyther. Therefore, it had Heracross go and challenge Eichi to a battle. That was why Heracross suddenly showed up to fight Eichi that night.
After the test, Eichi's Beedrill proved to be very strong. This led to Big Brother approving of Eichi's ability. It then chose a day to have Heracross deliver the Scyther Egg to Eichi. This was the complete sequence of events. Having heard the story, many of Eichi's doubts were answered.
"No wonder you wanted to give me a Pokémon Egg that time," Eichi said. "So that was the reason!"
After saying this, he suddenly asked, "Heracross, why do you trust me so much? You told me everything I asked."
Heracross scratched its head. '"Hera (I trust my Big Brother. It told me to find you, which proves it thinks you are a good person)," Heracross replied.'
"I'm a good person?" Eichi said, pointing to himself. It sounded strange, but it wasn't wrong. I am indeed a good person.
Speaking of which, another question popped into Eichi's mind. Eichi immediately asked, "By the way, Heracross, what about you? Tell me your story."
Heracross thought for a moment and said, '"Hera, Hera (I've been with Big Brother since I was born)," Heracross replied.'
It turned out that Heracross was adopted by its Big Brother several months before Eichi received the Scyther Egg. One day, its Big Brother was wandering through the forest. When passing through Pinsir's territory, it saw a Pokémon Egg. As soon as it approached, the Egg hatched, and the little Heracross emerged. The first thing it saw was its Big Brother, so it treated its Big Brother as its birth father. However, its Big Brother disagreed, telling it not to call it "Dad" but "Big Brother."
Heracross refused. Having no alternative, its Big Brother took the little Heracross to a Heracross tribe to find its biological parents. It searched around but found nothing; no Heracross in the tribe had lost a Pokémon Egg. Its Big Brother then went to search other Heracross tribes, but after searching the entire forest, it still couldn't find them. Finally, it had no choice but to raise the young Heracross itself.
However, its Big Brother did not have a good temper. Every time the little Heracross called it "Dad," it would beat the little Heracross. Eventually, the little Heracross became afraid and had to change its address to "Big Brother."
Your experience is truly unique, Eichi thought. And I was right; you really are a goofball.
Heracross had never spoken so much as it did today. When it was with its Big Brother, it rarely spoke, and it didn't interact with many Pokémon. All it did every day was follow its Big Brother. Whatever its Big Brother did, it did too. It simply followed its Big Brother's lead.
Eichi then threw out one last question: "Heracross, do you know how strong your Big Brother is?"
Heracross immediately looked admiring. '"Hera, Hera (My Big Brother is incredibly strong. Since I started following it, its favorite things to do are training and seeking out powerful Pokémon to battle, and it has never lost)," Heracross boasted.'
From Heracross's words, Eichi could roughly conclude that its Big Brother liked challenging powerful Pokémon and had never lost. Eichi was unsure what rank of Pokémon Heracross considered "powerful." However, Heracross said it was stronger than Beedrill, which meant its Big Brother possessed at least the strength of a Gym Leader.
At this point, Heracross started gesturing excitedly.
After talking for a while longer, Heracross began recounting some of its adventures with its Big Brother in the Viridian Forest. Eichi listened patiently and attentively. As he listened, he realized Heracross had fallen asleep. It had been seriously injured today and hadn't fully recovered yet. Eichi carefully picked up Heracross and carried it into the bedroom.
