When I finally opened the door, I didn't expect him to still be standing there.
Adrien was leaning against the doorframe with his arms casually folded over his chest. He looked relaxed, but those piercing green eyes of his were fixed on me in a way that made things feel intense. This time, he wasn't smirking or wearing that infuriatingly smug look he usually had. Instead, his face was calm, maybe a little too calm, and that somehow felt worse.
For a moment, neither of us said anything. The silence hung there, heavy and awkward, until I finally forced myself to speak up.
