Elara rolled down her window when the security guard stopped their car at the entrance to ask who they were meeting.
"Who else lives here apart from Daniel Macros?" Elara asked the security guard, whose gaze darkened at the sass.
"Exactly, woman. Daniel Macros lives here. Are you sure you are in the right place?" The security guard asked. After all, it wasn't every day they saw a pretty lady come to the entrance of the estate to ask for their boss.
Elara looked at the man for a few seconds before chewing her lower lip.
She really wanted it to be a surprise, but if the guard wouldn't let her enter, she'd have to call the man himself, and her surprise would be ruined.
"I should've taken the other way and entered his property illegally, just like he does to mine," Elara pouted, her words heard by the guards easily.
"Excuse me?" The security guard asked, his hand tightening on his gun.
Elara looked at his actions and suppressed the urge to roll her eyes.
