The building manager walked behind Daniel, his eyes lowered, his head bowed, every angle of his body trying not to provoke the devil in disguise.
"Anything interesting these days?" Alen asked casually.
Even his eyes were dark and serious, meaning only business, a complete contrast to how jolly he appeared whenever he wasn't in working mode.
The manager considered everything and was about to speak when Kevin beat him to it.
"Nocturnal hunters are back. They already attacked a trafficking clan and freed 78 girls. Twenty-four have been sent home, and the remaining are being treated; some arranged for therapy," Kevin answered.
The manager looked at the man and understood Alen was talking to him. He nodded. It was good he didn't speak up immediately, or he would've gotten into trouble for interrupting their conversation.
"What about you? Anything new?" Alen asked again, and the manager wondered if this time he was asking him.
