Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: A Healing World

Time flies!

During this period, everyone seemed extremely busy.

Kasumigaoka Utaha and Asia reported to the Supernatural Research Club every day for practical exercises.Rias was fully occupied finalizing the Ranking Game arrangements.

Only Arashi Hayata stayed home most of the time — yet his strength was changing dramatically every minute and every second.

[Arashi Hayata]Occupation: Origin MagicianMagic: Origin of Thunder Magic Lv.10 (+)Origin Points: 13

"The magic book Rias gave me really helped me grow stronger," Arashi murmured, looking at the glowing panel before him. "But I still need to find a way to manage the Origin Points."

He had already gone through nearly all the treasures of the Gremory family.

Fortunately, in this mixed world of many realms, knowledge was abundant — you just had to know where to look.

"Hmm?"

Arashi suddenly sensed something. A faint, familiar pulse rippled deep within his soul.

"Did it work?"

His eyes brightened. This wasn't an ordinary call — it was the summoning contract he had created days ago, using devil summoning techniques adapted from another world.

He had tried it just to experiment. Now it seemed his Origin Magic truly could cross the barriers between worlds.

And luck was clearly on his side.

"I wonder… which world this one connects to?"

In Another World – A Vast Primeval Forest

Dry branches cracked underfoot as two figures moved through the woods — Akame and Leone, both on a hunt.

Suddenly, Akame's sharp instincts flared. In one swift motion, her sword flashed —

Slash!

Blood sprayed through the air, and a massive boar-like beast crashed to the ground.

"That should be enough for everyone," Akame said calmly, lifting the creature with ease.

"How should we cook it today?" Leone grinned, taking a swig from her flask.

"Now that we've got food, let's head back—hic!"

"Mm." Akame nodded, hoisting the carcass and leaping through the trees beside Leone.

Night Raid Base

Smoke rose gently as the rich aroma of roasting meat filled the air.

"Mmm, it smells amazing!" Najenda — their leader — stepped into the room, her metallic arm gleaming under the firelight.

"Boss!" Akame greeted, setting down the roasted meat with a soft thud.

"I'm starting!" Leone cheered, taking another gulp of wine and tearing into her portion enthusiastically.

"Drink less," Najenda sighed. "You know we might be sent out on a mission any time."

"Boss, are we really attacking tonight with just three of us?" Leone muttered, half-drunk. "At this rate, we'll die of exhaustion."

"There's no choice," Najenda replied firmly. "Teigu users are too rare. But I've invited two new recruits. They should arrive soon."

Akame fell silent for a moment before asking quietly, "Boss… can we really change this country by doing this?"

Her tone carried confusion — and something like doubt.

Najenda looked at her and said firmly, "Don't lose heart, Akame. If we stop now, nothing will ever change."

Leone burped softly, fumbling in her pockets until she pulled out a strange, glowing flyer.

"Hey, I've got an idea," she said with a grin. "This is something I got from my last mission. Supposedly, it can summon devils."

Akame and Najenda both froze.

"You're drunk again," Najenda sighed.

But Leone shook her head stubbornly. "No, seriously! I couldn't tear this thing even with all my strength. Doesn't that mean it's special?"

Hearing that, both women grew cautious. Leone's strength was no joke. If even she couldn't damage it…

Akame took the flyer and examined it.

An intricate magic circle shimmered faintly across the surface, with strange runes circling it. She couldn't read the words — yet somehow, she understood their meaning.

"Will… my wish come true?" she murmured. Then, almost unconsciously, she said, "Then… make it happen."

The flyer burst into light.

A brilliant magic circle appeared, spreading across the floor as waves of power rippled outward.

"What—?!"

All three women took defensive stances instantly.

Then, through the light, a calm, elegant voice echoed:

"It seems you're my contractors?"

Under their shocked gazes, a man stepped out of the magic circle — Arashi Hayata, his devil wings unfolding majestically behind him.

Najenda narrowed her eyes. "Who are you? Don't play games."

"Don't be so hostile," Arashi said casually. "You summoned me, after all."

Leone's face went pale. "He really has wings… a real devil?"

Akame, ever calm, bowed slightly. "Hello, Mr. Devil."

"Hello," Arashi replied with a faint smile. His sharp eyes gleamed with interest.

The moment he saw them, he knew exactly which world he was in.

The world of assassins and imperial weapons.

Not too dangerous for him — but full of treasures worth studying.

Imperial Arms, unique magical constructs born from ancient alchemy and biology — perfect for research.

And perhaps… potential new followers.

"Akame," Arashi said gently, looking at her. "Tell me your wish."

Akame tilted her head. "You… know my name?"

"I'm a devil," Arashi said with a soft chuckle. "I know many things."

Najenda stood aside, observing quietly. Reality was setting in — the devil before them was real.

And watching Akame talk so calmly to him, she couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

Only Akame could talk so naturally with a devil.
