Chapter 5 - Chapter 05: Arata's anger

"Sigh!"

The active high school girl with long black hair sitting on the sofa let out a faint breath.

The magic book in her hands slipped to the floor, and her legs, bare without black stockings, gleamed like jade under the light.

In front of her, Arashi Hayata held a cup of black tea, watching her with amusement.

"By the way, this is your first time learning magic, so don't push yourself. You're probably running low on magic power."

He genuinely admired Kasumigaoka Utaha's talent. In just a few hours, she had grasped the basics and become a qualified lower-level demon.

"Who knew it would be like this? You didn't even warn me," Utaha said, rolling her eyes weakly as she propped herself up. "Speaking of which, Master… your followers are already like this, always watching their legs. Don't you want to do something about it?"

"Since you said so, I'll give you some magic," Arashi replied.

"Replenish magic… does that mean replenishing magic power?" Utaha's eyes sparkled.

"If there's such a method, use it quickly!"

"That's what you said," he said lightly.

Utaha, eager to restore her magic power, noticed Arashi's red eyes drawing closer. She couldn't help but wonder: does magic replenishment need to be so intimate?

Her mouth opened to ask a question—but it was blocked.

Utaha's beautiful eyes widened in surprise. Is this part of the magic replenishment?

…The room was silent. Only magic power flowed between their divine bodies.

"Master… have you been planning this for a long time?"

Utaha curled her legs uncomfortably, her face flushed.

"I'm just trying to restore your magic power. It's hard work, okay?" Arashi said, feigning grievance.

Utaha looked at him, disbelief in her eyes, pink fists clenching slightly. So you took advantage of me, right?

Arashi ignored the accusation. He took out his phone. "Be careful next time. Don't overuse your magic power. I've sent you the instructions. Please arrange your transfer to my school."

Utaha blinked in surprise. "Demons… go to school too?"

"Of course. Didn't you see my uniform?"

"Sorry, I thought this was just some strange hobby of my perverted master."

"Keep that flyer. If any danger arises, summon me immediately."

Arashi gave her some instructions and explained basic safety measures. Although Utaha was extremely talented, she was still a rookie in the demonic world. He had to ensure her safety.

"Okay, I'll pay attention," she said seriously. "I'll transfer as soon as possible."

Arashi nodded. At the same moment, a magic circle appeared beneath his feet. Teleportation magic—common among demons but difficult to master—activated.

Swish!

In a flash, Arashi's figure returned to his apartment. He lived alone, and the entire building was his own. Late at night, he did not rest. Magic books from Rias' collection still awaited him.

For a demon, a few days without sleep was nothing.

Days passed in a blink.

In his apartment, Arashi leaned back on the sofa, eyes half-closed. To the outside observer, it seemed he was dozing.

But inside, his magic power surged relentlessly, growing like a crashing wave. Eventually, he exhaled and summoned the virtual panel:

[Arashi Hayata][Occupation: Origin Magician][Magic: Origin of Thunder Magic Lv 10 (+)][Origin: 10 points]

"Improving this Origin Magic consumes more and more energy," he muttered.

He had remained secluded, leaving school matters to Rias and only occasionally receiving updates from Utaha about her transfer progress.

After days of study, Arashi finished all the accumulated magic books, gaining a huge amount of Origin Points, which he devoted entirely to his Origin Magic.

Compared to ordinary magic, the upgrades were astonishing. It took all his points to reach Level 10, but his strength had undergone a transformation.

Even he couldn't gauge his true level. If measured by raw magical power, he had reached the threshold of a higher-level demon. But with Origin Magic, his combat potential was beyond calculation.

"I wonder if I could even match the strongest demons now," he murmured.

After becoming a higher-level demon, the strength gap could be overwhelming. Even among those of the same level, a single instant could be fatal.

Magic power alone was only a measure of strength; divine weapons and god-destroying tools could elevate one's combat potential to unimaginable heights.

"But Origin Magic is worth it. Every upgrade transforms my body."

Arashi clenched his fists, a small smile on his lips. He was no longer just a spellcaster—he had developed in every aspect. His physique, perception, and instincts had all surpassed human comprehension.

"Um?"

Arashi's expression turned serious as he approached the window.

Just now, he had sensed the presence of light. In Juwang City—the demons' territory—those who wielded light did not come easily.

He enhanced his perception, and his eyes turned cold. "Seeking death."

A terrifying murderous intent erupted, shaking the air. One of Rias' followers was being hunted.

In the next instant, Arashi's body shimmered with golden lightning. He became a ray of golden light, disappearing into the distant sky.
