The morning light glowed softly, warmth brushing against my closed eyelids. I blinked awake slowly, my head resting on Rion's chest, his arms wrapped tightly around me. The familiar black-orchid scent filled the room, thick and comforting, like the very air I breathed.
Rion shifted, his warm breath brushing my face. Our bare bodies were tangled beneath the blanket. I tried to move, but a small sound slipped from my lips—

His eyes opened lazily.
Before I could escape, he pulled me back against his chest.
"Kitten," he murmured, voice husky with sleep. "Where are you going?"
"Let me go," I muttered.
"Nope." He tightened his hold. "Let's sleep a little more."
I glanced at the alarm clock on the bedside table and gasped. "Rion! It's already afternoon. Get up!"
Unbothered, he pressed his cheek against my hair. "Kitten, it's the weekend. Let's rest."
"Rion—" I snapped.
Just then—
Grrrl.
My eyes widened. Heat rushed to my face.
