Chapter 139: Reunion

5 July 1996

Kink Orphanage

Dudley had spent the past few days quietly with his family and friends. It is funny eventhough the threat of Voldemort are there but living in Privet Drive make them forgot about him. It all thanks the blood ward that invoked by Harry mother.

While for Dudley, he no longer cared about Voldemort because after his last battle with him. He had become more confident after beating others Death Eater infront of Voldemort.

But although on the surface, everything seemed peaceful. Yet deep inside him something continued to unsettle him because of the anomally who defeated the whole squad of Death Eater.

The person who manage to use the power from Marvel Cinematic Movie, he afraid that the new person would cause chaos. Not every transmigrator is peace loving like him, there are who are crazy enough and wanted more chaos in this world.

He had read Hermione fanfiction, where the SI loves to act and also secretly love chaos. And now this visitor from other world is just a muggleborn child who could use strange magic without using a wand, fight Death Eaters, and even killed 3 of them.

Because of that, Dudley began investigating in secret after the last OWL exam. He did not want to alarm anyone, not Harry, not Sirius, and certainly not the Ministry and Dumbledore. Using his influence and connections, he carefully gathered information piece by piece. Eventually, he turned to Amelia Bones. Though she was cautious, she trusted Dudley enough to give him what he wanted.

The address of that transmigrator and surprisingly he wasn't staying with Dumbledore or McGonagall instead he still stay in Orphanage.

So today, he decided to visit the orphanage while using the identity of a rich man who wanted to donate to orphanage.

At the same time, John Kennedy remained completely unaware that someone important in his life was about to visit. To him, this was just another quiet day. He helped around the orphanage, carried boxes, cleaned the yard and earned the matron praise as usual.

A few days earlier, Dumbledore had offered him a place to live under his protection. It was an attractive offer on the surface, but Steve rejected it without hesitation. Living under Dumbledore meant being watched day and night, monitored constantly and losing what little freedom he had left.

That was something he could not accept and he knows Dumbledore had experienced with Tom Riddle who show disdain towards muggle. So he shows that man that he loves staying with those in orphanage and he also made clear to him that he wanted to protect those orphan from another potential Death Eater.

Although he could not openly use magic within the orphanage due to the risk of exposure, but he had freedom to use magic inside his room. Furthermore every magic that Ancient One used won't be detected by the ward making him freely use it without attracting ministry.

During this time, Steve also used portal to come to empty jungle or sometimes to a place where wizards located and he practiced the magic. This loophole allowed him to continue experimenting with his powers while remaining hidden from the wizarding world.

"Reparo," Steve had casted a magic using his hand in broken chair for 243th time and finally he manage to use wandless casting perfectly.

"It looks like my training is done and now it's time to go back," muttered Steve.

Before doing a circle and open the portal direct to his room.

He stepped inside and return to his room.

At the same time, Dudley had come nearby and looked at lively atmosphere inside the orphanage. He wanted to use magic to sneak inside but remembering that the young man he wanted to meet couldn't use magic, the auror might come to arrest him.

Which would make the unknown person become mad at him, so he just looked from the gate and he can hear children laughed in the yard. Dudley, feel nostalgia because of his experience in the past.

Zack Kennedy from the past was no more. Right now, he had become Dudley.

Yet those memories remained vivid in his mind. He still remembered the days when they went hungry because there were too many orphans and not enough money. Only a few times each year, when donors came to visit, were they able to eat to their fill. Those moments felt like small miracles and Dudley never forgot the kindness of the people who allowed them to eat until they were full.

"Brother…" Dudley muttered, thinking of John Kennedy.

He shook his head slowly. There was no point dwelling on memories of his brother in this new world unless John had also transmigrated here.

Suddenly, something clicked in his mind.

"Wait a minute," Dudley murmured. "I was transported to this world after playing that game. I never knew who brought me here or how it even happened. And back then… my brother was right behind me, watching me fight the final boss."

His heart began to race.

"Don't tell me…" Dudley whispered. "The one who came here too is my brother?"

The more he thought about it, the more sense it made. The timing, the circumstances, the strange similarities, it all lined up too perfectly to be a coincidence.

With that realization, Dudley felt a surge of excitement mixed with nervous anticipation. He wanted to meet this mysterious boy more than ever now.

He needed to know and he had to make sure whether that person truly was his brother or not.

After five minutes, the orphanage staff allowed him to meet the children. He brought toys, food, and winter clothes for them.

Activating his gamer mindset, Dudley focused and used his mage sight, carefully scanning the area. Almost immediately, he identified the person most likely to be the unknown wizard.

Once he finished donating the toys, food, and winter clothes, he casually walked closer to the suspected boy.

Then he whispered softly, "John Kennedy?"

Steve froze. Upon hearing his real name, his eyes widened as he turned to look at Dudley.

"Zack Kennedy?" he whispered back in disbelief.

Dudley felt tears well up in his eyes, but he managed to hold them back. He nodded slowly, confirming it was truly him.

Without another word, Zack and John embraced each other tightly.

At last, the brothers had reunited in this world.
