Boom...
And I died just like that. I don't know how though.
I was just randomly siting on my bed, when a sudden explosion rang out, and all was silent since then, and I found myself drifting through this eternal darkness, becoming a glowing orb amidst a sea of my kind, but I distinctly felt that all other orbs were unconscious.
After a long time surfing through this darkness, I finally saw something different.
I saw something enter this eternal darkness, it was a man.
He wore a black and white armour ,and held a black and white spear in his hand.
Then another man entered, he emitted an aura of darkness, he wore a purple armour and held a sword.
The first man shouted, "If this is what you want, then fine, let's wage war!"
And from the other man came the voice, "Fool, you think I ever wanted this! What is happening is the result of your past betrayal. Betrayal of me!"
The first man's visage became dark, and he replied in an icy tone, "You are a wretch low life, you don't have the right to judge my actions, for you who blaspheme your god, can not understand my suffering, and was it truly I who betrayed you?", at this moment he scoffed and said, "My loyalty had never been with you, for both you and I served the Heavenly Divine Emperor! It was you who betrayed the Gods and joined the Abyss! And when I remained loyal to my faith, you regarded me as an enemy."
"You are wrong, the Gods have never cared for us, they merely regard us as mortal low lives, and I did betray them, but for the sake of equality, for where I am now, lineage and origin does not matter, what does is strength.", the other man spoke.
The other man's furious voice rang out, "You have betrayed the Gods! You who are blinded by eternal darkness, let today, on this scared land of eternal souls, let me, mark this day as your death."
And then none of them spoke, but as a soul I could feel their feelings, it was dark, not darkness, but sorrow, and for some reason, this scene made me feel very emotional and cried buckets, but then I remembered that I was a soul and didn't have any tears.
And then, both of them rushed towards each other, and as their auras collided.
The space around them shattered, countless souls escaped through the passage, and seeing an opening, I went into one, for it was definitely better that floating in that space.
When I foolishly charged into the space, guess what I felt?
I felt as if someone had put molten lave within my insides. In short, immense pain.
The agony was too unbearable, and I lost consciousness.
But even in my unconsciousness I heard the voice, that said something like, "I choose you to.... this immense..... so go on wars and let the name.. Race Spread!"
When I woke up, I found myself in an entirely different environment.
I found myself lying on the ground, my mind was dazed, and I slowly got up, my mind started to clear a bit, and when it finally did, I started to carefully observe the surrounding of mine, it was barren, all around me was a wasteland, as far as the eye could see, there was nothing but dark and barren land, the sky was covered with a veil of dark clouds, through which not a single ray of light could enter the vast expanse below.
Seeing this all, for moment, my mind went blank, for it was utterly desolate.
And then, all of a sudden a mechanical voice rang out in my mind:
"Ding, the host has bound the 'Saiyan Race Grower' System."
The voice was rather dull and lifeless, making one feel like that it the speaker was drained of all their life.
I asked, "System? Like in the Chinese novels?"
"Somewhat."
Reply was extremely dull, unlike the systems I had read about who were so lively that bounced around the host constantly.
I quickly adjusted my mindset and asked, "Well, so you speak of the Saiyan Race, but I am not a Saiyan, so how will you help me grow it?"
"The host is already a Saiyan, perhaps he should look back."
Confused, I turned my head back, nothing, but the system had said so, so there must be something out there, thinking so, I turned completely around, and just then a warmth started to enter my body through my spine, I suddenly was somehow immersed in that joy instead of looking back, 3 seconds later.
"Ah...!", I screamed, as a pain akin to my entire body breaking begin to spread around all my body.
The pain lasted a few minutes, and then it stopped.
I asked in anger, "What in the world did you do system?!"
"Look at your tail and feel the energy."
"What tail? How can I have a tail?", saying so, I, by instinct looked down at the end of my spine where somehow a tail had appeared.
"Where in the world did this tail appear from? It clearly wasn't there when I looked back?", saying this, I closed my eyes to feel the so called power, 1 second, 2 second, 3 second, and just like that 1 minute passed, just as my patience was waning, a surge of energy entered my corporeal form, and air started to twist around me.
I began to focus even more intensely and the rocks around me started to float, and then the land began to tremble, and soon an area with a 1,000 metre diameter around me was looking like it had been ravaged by a magnitude 6 earthquake. I then, slowly opened my eyes and inhaled deeply, then exhaled sharply, the sudden surge in power was amazing, it was incredible!
