"Is this transmigration a bit too sloppy?!"
Muttering to himself, Reno quickened his rowing pace, propelling the small boat faster toward the direction he sensed.
Just a few hours ago, he was a freshly graduated college student on Blue Star. He had grand ambitions of taking over the "Beautiful Country" (America) after graduation, but before he could even act on those thoughts, a speeding truck smashed into him. When he woke up, he found himself on this rickety old boat.
Before Reno could even take stock of his surroundings, an ethereal mechanical voice suddenly echoed in his mind. After a series of prompts, Reno realized the truth. He had transmigrated—into the One Piece world.
Luckily, a system had awakened alongside him. But this system was… unconventional, to say the least.
[Beauty Conquest System] As the name suggests, by conquering the beauties from the One Piece storyline and "overwhelming" them, he could earn rewards from across the multiverse. These rewards included, but were not limited to, Devil Fruits, enhancements to the three types of Haki, swordsmanship insights, magical items, and treasure information.
Simple. Brutal. The type of reward? Completely random.
Beauties from the One Piece storyline?! In an instant, images of over a dozen stunning women flashed through Reno's mind. Upon closer thought, there were probably dozens more. However, most of them were tied to major forces like the Four Emperors, the Seven Warlords, or the Navy. Snatching them from such powers? The mere thought was thrilling.
Of course, as a righteous gentleman, Reno's primary goal was to grow stronger. Beauties? They were just a secondary bonus. …Or so he told himself.
As if aware of his initial weakness, the system thoughtfully provided a Newbie Gift Package. When Reno claimed it, he couldn't help but grin. If the newbie package was this generous, he was absolutely determined to conquer those beauties! Not even Jesus could stop him!
[Beginner Physique Enhancement Card][Beginner Swordsmanship Experience Card][Beginner Navy Six Powers Experience Card][Beginner Observation Haki][Beginner Armament Haki][Beginner Conqueror's Haki]
Though all were at the beginner level, in the East Blue—where Haki was barely known—these abilities made Reno practically unstoppable. Without hesitation, he enhanced his physique, fused the swordsmanship experience, mastered the Navy Six Powers, and awakened all three types of Haki.
In an instant, his strength surged from that of a weakling to the level of a Navy Rear Admiral.
After familiarizing himself with his newfound power and calming his excitement, Reno began searching for a way forward. Activating his Observation Haki, he aimlessly sailed the small boat across the vast sea.
Ten minutes later, his Observation Haki picked up a signal. In his perception, two pirate crews were locked in a fierce battle, the conflict reaching a fever pitch. The sounds of clashing blades and booming cannons echoed endlessly. Even from a distance, Reno could smell the faint scent of blood carried by the sea breeze.
For anyone else, this would be a signal to steer clear, to flee as far as possible. But for Reno, it was like a beacon shining in the dark.
He sped up, rowing toward the two pirate ships. As he drew closer, the sounds of fighting gradually faded, but the stench of blood grew stronger.
Leaping onto the deck of one of the pirate ships, Reno frowned. The deck was littered with dozens of corpses, strewn haphazardly, with blood and gore seeping into the cracks of the floorboards and trickling into the ship's hold. In just a short time, the two pirate crews had fought to mutual destruction. Every last one lay dead in pools of blood—not a single survivor.
"Couldn't you have held on just a little longer?!" Reno muttered, his face showing disappointment. In the vast sea, he'd finally encountered people, only for them to die before he could ask for any information.
Activating his Observation Haki again, he scanned the interiors of both pirate ships. Soon, his eyes lit up, and he strode confidently into the ship's cabin.
…
Inside the Captain's Quarters.
"Mine! It's all mine!!" "This time, I've hit the jackpot!"
A slender, graceful figure was frantically looting the room's gold and treasures, like a hungry tiger pouncing on its prey. The sack in her hands was already bulging to the brim.
Reno quietly approached the doorway, his gaze falling on the figure. He quickly recognized her identity. With that curvaceous figure and orange hair, who else could it be but the little thief, Nami?!
Upon recognizing Nami, Reno immediately realized he was in the East Blue, and the timeline was likely before Luffy set sail—or just after he began his journey but before meeting Nami.
Nami, overwhelmed with excitement, was oblivious to being watched. Her eyes sparkled with the shape of Berries. She had to admit, she'd gotten incredibly lucky this time. Her original plan was to infiltrate this pirate crew and steal a few things, but she hadn't expected to stumble upon a clash between two pirate crews.
The gold and treasures in this room alone were worth at least ten million Berries. In a bad year, ten million Berries could match her entire annual haul. Even without considering the other pirate ship, this ship's loot made the trip worthwhile.
Once she finished this job, she'd be close to gathering the one hundred million Berries needed to buy back Cocoyasi Village from Arlong. With that thought, Nami's smile grew even brighter.
Ecstatically packing up all the treasures, she hoisted a sack larger than herself and turned to leave. But the moment she turned, her eyes locked with Reno's.
"Ahh!" A piercing scream.
Caught off guard, Nami's face paled, and the sack of treasures slipped from her hands to the floor.
"Not bad, Nami. Quite the haul," Reno said, a faint smile playing on his lips as he watched her tremble with fear.
Nami's courage was truly remarkable. Sneaking onto merchant ships was one thing, but boarding a pirate ship? If she'd been caught, those pirates wouldn't have shown her mercy.
"Don't misunderstand! I was just… worried someone else might steal these, so I was moving them to a safer place!" Nami waved her hands frantically.
Having seen her fair share of danger, her mind was sharp. She quickly came up with an excuse.
Reno chuckled. "Relax. The pirates on both ships are already dead. I've got no connection to them."
