Evelyn stepped outside, the cool air slapping her cheeks. She exhaled, rubbing her hands on her arms a few times to ease the chill.
She checked her phone, finding a message from Selene asking if she'd gone home.
Evelyn answered and slipped her phone back into her purse.
Her heels clicked against the pavement as she strolled toward the corner of the street to stretch her legs.
She was scrolling through her phone when she heard a sharp burst of laughter.
She raised her head subconsciously and saw a group of boys walking towards the restaurant.
About six or seven of them, looked to be in their late teens to early twenties. Their clothes could only be described as non mainstream.
Overly ripped jeans, chains clicking from belts, dyed hair ranging from silver to blue.
Normally, Evelyn would have ignored people like this but her eyes caught the figure walking behind.
