Mo Shengsheng took a taxi to the restaurant Imperial Kitchen. This was one of the most famous restaurants in the city and she had been dying to eat here for a while but Liu Yutong was always too busy to come.
She was led to her table and after placing her order, some appetizers were brought to her in order to pass time while waiting for the food to be cooked.
Even if they didn't have this, she didn't think she would be bored while waiting. The scenery was enthralling and it fit her aesthetics so well.
She thought to herself that whoever designed it must've put in a lot of effort.
While she was lost in thought, her food was wheeled over. She really didn't hold back this time. She ordered a little bit of everything.
She first sampled a bit from each place before deciding which to eat first. She didn't care if people thought of her as uncultured.
She was tired of always having to worry about how she would be perceived by strangers who added no benefits to her life.
Mo Shengsheng wiped out all the dishes and thought to herself that it was worth whatever price they put on it. The quality was really too high.
She called for a waiter to take the plates and asked for her bill but the waiter shook his head slightly.
"Miss, you're out 100th customer for the day so the meal is on the house."
Mo Shengsheng's brows shot up. Was this okay?
"This, does your manager know about this?"
The waiter laughed softly.
"Yess miss. It was a direct order from the owner."
Mo Shengsheng's mouth widened into a O shape. She wondered what made the owner so happy that he would casually make this meal free.
She wasn't stupid and knew that based on the quality alone, it would definitely not be cheap. She wasn't lacking in money and had decided to treat herself to something good after being freed from the mental shackles of that b*stard.
Seems like today really is her lucky day. Since it was free, there was no reason not to accept it. She wasn't one of the people who thought a huge pie falling from the sky was a trap.
Although they were some limits which would make her suspicious if they were crossed, this was within the limits. It could only be said that God was rewarding her for finally standing up for herself.
She smiled softly at the waiter.
"Well thank you. The food was delicious, I'll definitely be back another time."
He bowed politely and walked heart o the door.
"We look forward to your next visit miss."
Mo Shengsheng stepped outside the building and she suddenly had the urge to twirl around. So she did.
She turned a few times ignoring the curious looks from passerbys. Her heart was filled with warmth and the air in the city felt a lot fresher.
It seems like without Liu Yutong, everything was better.
Mo Shengsheng was in such a good mood, she spontaneously decided to go to the amusement park. Xingyue wouldn't be back for a few more hours so she had time to spare. She was already this old but had never been to one.
She had always wanted to go there but her childhood made it impossible for her to do things like other children. She completely crossed out the possibility of being taken by her parents so she decided she could either go with her boyfriend or her husband.
But naturally, it ended in the same disappointment. Liu Yutong thought it was too childish and never wanted to go with her.
She had first mentioned it while they were still in college but then he said he was busy and she believed him. Later, after they got married she tried bringing it up again but he clearly told her he wouldn't be participating in such childish things.
Mo Shengsheng frowned slightly. It seemed like her brain would forget the terrible things he did to her for some reason.
She shrugged. That must've been her subconscious comforting her and trying to make her believe it was still the same person.
But now she was awake! She had escaped from the cell she had locked herself up in. And the feeling was great.
She hailed a taxi and the driver uncle kept looking at her through the rear view mirror. She was going to the amusement park but there wasn't a child or partner with her?
Mo Shengsheng noticed his gaze and deliberately made herself look pitiful.
"Uncle you must be wondering why I'm going to the amusement park alone right? Well my husband always keeps saying he's busy no matter how many times I ask so I got annoyed and decided to just go on my own."
The driver uncle smiled kindly.
"Ahh girl, your husband really doesn't know how to appreciate his wife." He was a good husband. Whatever his wife wanted, he would make sure to make it available for her.
Mo Shengsheng nodded a few times
"Uncle you're right. Maybe I can find a new husband there."
The driver uncle was stunned.
"Eh! This...girl do you want to think about it a little? After all, your husband might really be busy."
They were already at the entrance of the park.
Mo Shengsheng laughed softly and alighted. After paying the fare, she said to the man.
"He's also cheating uncle so there's no use for me to keep him is there?"
The driver uncle was stunned for a long time and then shook his head regretfully. That was probably the real reason right?
He looked at the bright and smiling face walking through the gate and thought to himself that if that was his daughter, he would definitely not want her to be stuck in such a disastrous marriage.
The driver uncle drove away lamenting that some people were really not fit to be husbands.
Mo Shengsheng had gone inside and bought countless tickets. She also paid for a VIP pass. What use was it waiting in line?
She didn't come here for the experience of waiting, she came for thr rides!
Mo Shengsheng skipped the lines every time and would always take the rides first. She could feel that some people were unhappy but what did that have to do with her?
If they wanted to, they could also pay extra for a VIP pass. She wasn't the only one with money. But she was probably the only one willing to spend it so casually.
She told herself that this was her own guilty pleasure.
She went on more rides than she could count and even went to the haunted house. The staff probably saw her as a target. She was a basically the only one who came alone.
She walked inside the dark rooms and saw a bony hand fall in front of her. Mo Shengsheng walked over it calmly and kept looking around.
Some 'ghost' tried to scare her by breathing over her neck but she turned around and stamped her foot shouting:
"Hey!"
The ghost backed up with a small yelp and Mo Shengsheng burst out laughing. It felt so good to bully people.
She walked out through the other entrance and saw that a pair of friends were huddled together with pale faces. Was it really that scary?
There wasn't much time left anymore so Mo Shengsheng went to the store and bought two overpriced cakes.
She handed her remaining tickets to a child and walked out of the park.
