In Asgard's vault, a guard suddenly noticed frost rapidly forming on the floor.
But at that moment a huge blue hand lunged out and grabbed him; the ice‑bound blade instantly sliced across the guard's throat.
After killing the guard, several blue Frost Giants surged toward the far end of the vault.

Odin, seated on his throne, narrowed his gaze and struck downward with a clenched right fist!
"Whirrr…"
A wall inside the vault suddenly vanished into thin air, and a silver metallic giant stepped out of the space in the wall.
This was the Destroyer—Asgard's most fearsome war instrument.
Hearing the sound, a Frost Giant spun around, terror flashing in his eyes. He instinctively raised the Casket.
But before he could activate the casket's power, a terrifying beam shot from the Destroyer's head.
"Shlaa—"
Under the sweep of the golden beam, three Frost Giants were instantly reduced to ashes—nothing but dust remained.
Sensing the Destroyer had stopped, Odin relaxed in his throne and let out a breath.
For a moment he had worried this might be a large‑scale invasion by the Frost Giants.
But now it seemed to have been just a handful of petty thieves.
Just then, a row of words flashed across the great hall's screen—accompanied by that cold, emotionless voice:
[Playback paused for 5 minutes. Please feel free to rest.]
Odin secretly exhaled at the message.
He then scanned the hall and said:
"Everyone, step back."
Odin had grown wary of this mysterious system and the huge screen in the sky.
Who knew what other futures that display might reveal next?
If every one of those futures were shown to the tens of thousands gathered here, it might not be good for morale.
At Odin's command, the crowd hesitated, then bowed and filed out of the hall.
They had been terrified by the prospect of Asgard's destruction, but after witnessing Loki and Thor's fearless fighting, their mood had drastically shifted.
A few minutes later Odin led Thor into Asgard's vault.
Seeing the frozen corpses of the guards on the floor, Odin's eyes flickered, and Thor bellowed in rage:
"Filthy Frost Giants! I will make them pay!"
Odin walked over to the Casket of Ancient Winters and looked at the treasure coolly.
"The Frost Giants paid with their lives. The Destroyer fulfilled its duty, and the casket was not taken—things aren't bad."
"Not bad?"
Thor asked angrily:
"They broke into the vault! What if the Frost Giants had stolen any of the treasures? What would we have done?"
Odin didn't answer Thor's question. He merely furrowed his brow, lost in thought.
This vault was, without a doubt, the most heavily guarded and secretive place in all of Asgard.
How had those Frost Giants even managed to get inside?
And who was the mastermind behind this intrusion?
At that moment, Odin's mind couldn't help but drift to that unknown, terrifying future:
He was dead!
Asgard was destroyed!
What kind of enemy would they face in that future?
Thinking this, Odin turned to the still enraged Thor and spoke calmly:
"Everything in the vault is safe. Let's set this matter aside for now and return to the hall.
If the big screen shows more clips from the future, we shouldn't miss them."
In Odin's view, if Asgard's future destruction was to be prevented, the greatest hope was that "future broadcast."
Hearing Odin mention the livestream, Thor, who had been fuming moments ago, immediately fell silent.
In his heart, he was also curious to know why, in that future, he had not only lost Mjolnir but even one of his eyes!
As the two returned to the empty great hall, the huge screen floating in midair suddenly went dark.
