Chapter 3 - Welcome to the Party

"I'm excited about the party this weekend!"

Azami shouts this in the study lounge, the four other girls looking at her, some more excited than others or not excited at all. Yasu is the first one to speak.

"It's already that time again? I would rather not have to go..."

Azami is now behind her, pulling at Yasu's cheeks.

"You always say that, but who is usually the first dancing and one of the last to want to leave?"

Yasu blushes deeply and then covers her face immediately after swiping away Azami's hands—Yui pitches in next.

"You are not wrong about Yasu. She usually is a party animal once she's in her world. However, I do not fair for the chaotic music as much."

Chura now pitches in, hearing music.

"Ah yes, the romantic music is much more fun to dance to than the loud music. Maybe I will meet someone while we are there for the night."

Aneko crosses her arms with her nose up in the air.

"It is because you all are so damn picky that we cannot just have fun and always have to worry about issues. Lighten up a bit and enjoy the evening for what it is for once!"

All the girls' kind of look at her, annoyed. Azami thinks to herself.

You are speaking for yourself when you say that.

Then as that settles, they look towards a thumping sound approaching them. They look in distress, seeing an exhausted-looking Inei sluggishly walking towards them, then slumps into his seat and lets his head bang against the table. His back rises and falls as he sits with his head in his arms. Yui and Chura investigate Inei, Yui speaking out on what they have seen.

"He is fast asleep, poor guy."

All the girls look at each other and nod, except for Aneko, who looks confused.

"What? What are you all thinking?"

Inei wakes up later in the afternoon. He raises his head to find his surroundings, noticing only Azami sits at the table, waiting for him to wake up. Inei looks at her, then at once starts trying to get his bag.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Inei looks back to Azami, who looks genuinely pissed off. Inei slowly moves to try to grab his bag but notices that it is not there. He looks back towards the chair, and it is no longer Azami or anyone. He looks around the building, then gets to the door before something grabs his arm. It is Azami.

"You may not like it, but you are delirious, there is no way you will make it home. Let me help you get there safely. What caused you to be so tired? You're usually to attentative."

I cannot let her know that debating on even using my phone to talk to someone kept me awake all night, which would upset her deeply.

Without fighting, he lets Azami follow him home, carrying his missing bag. As they walk to his house, he slowly falls asleep as he walks, with Azami nudging him to stay awake now and then.

"Did you study too hard? We did not have a test or anything going on."

Azami questions Inei as they walk, trying to keep him awake while trying to understand his issue. Inei ignores her, proceeding to walk sluggishly as if his body was made of steel. When they reach his home, he goes in at once without his bag going to his room. Azami stands at the door, unsure if she could come into his house and what to do with his backpack if she cannot. Inei's mother goes to the stairs from the living room confused, and then looks to the door, seeing Azami.

"Well, what a surprise! You may come in, sweetie."

Azami smiles and bows, thanking her, and walks into Inei's house, taking a seat in Inei's chair he sits in to eat breakfast every morning. Inei's mother walks around the kitchen, making final touch-ups. She makes a cup of tea and places it in front of Azami, who thanks her, and she sits across from Azami.

"So, what are your relations with Inei? I cannot see him in a relationship with anyone, and I'm his mother."

Azami looks taken aback by her statement, blushes a little, then looks down.

"Well, I would like to be his friend, even if he doesn't talk. He seems to have a good heart, so I want to restore that. No one deserves to be quiet and sad."

Inei's mother lifts an eyebrow with curiosity.

"I appreciate your generous actions, but he does not even talk to me, his mother. But if you want to keep trying, be my guest. What is your name, sweetheart?"

Azami's blush burns brighter, a new side of her personality showing through her shyness, a more nervous, embarrassed self.

"Um, I'm Azami, Miss Hoshi. It is nice to meet you."

Miss Hoshi smiles.

"It is pleasant having someone here other than Inei for a change. Whenever you'd like, this home is always open to you, and I appreciate what you are doing for Inei. If we may..."

Azami looks at Miss Hoshi with a puzzled look.

Inei wakes, stretching and sitting up.

Woah, what happened yesterday? I remember getting to the study grounds, but after that-

Inei begins his usual morning routine, showering and brushing his teeth; as he heads downstairs to eat his standard breakfast, he stops with suspicion on his face. A table full of multiple items of breakfast foods rests on top of the table. Even more, more than his mother is in attendance. Azami, Yui, Yasu, and Chura all sit at the table with big grins on their faces, listening to things that his mother is telling them about him. He's frozen, unable to move in terror before Inei's mother sees him.

"Oh! Good morning Inei! I did not know you had so many friends!"

The girls laugh, enjoying the cooking of his mother. He steps back to the stairs; then his mother stands, smile gone with her eyebrows furrowed.

"You come down here and eat with your friends, do not be rude to them!"

Inei's face becomes flushed as he walks down the stairs, sitting between Azami and Chura.

He sits quietly as ever, but with a lot less intimidating aura, more with a super tense atmosphere. The proceed to eat as Inei takes very small and uneasy bites, Inei's mother telling different stories about his youth. After some time, Azami notices Inei's uncomfortable posture and then comes to her feet. She bows and thanks Miss Hoshi.

"Thank you for the meal, Miss Hoshi! But I just remembered that Inei and I have an assignment due for a class before class starts, and we need to do some final touches on it, so we should be off."

Inei looks at Azami, as well do the other girls. Miss Hoshi smiles, then looks at Inei.

"Okay! Please have fun, and don't forget your smiley face pancakes before you go, Inei! Always remember your momma loves you!"

Yasu, Chura, and Yui all laugh at his mother. As Inei's face turns red with embarrassment, Azami takes his hand and begins walking to the door, struggling not to laugh with a large grin.

"Okay! Thank you again, Miss Hoshi! We're off!"

And before Inei knows it, Azami and Inei are walking towards the school, Inei looking at the ground with embarrassment.

"You know, if you're wondering how we met your mother and why we were there, it's because you would not have made it home on your last night, and I had to repay the favor for you saving me."

Inei slowly tilts his head as if to be listening to her.

"You were delirious, and you were going to leave the school WITHOUT your bag, like, that's not you. Whatever caused you to be so tired? We didn't have any tests."

Inei grits his teeth. He refuses to tell her why.

I can't tell her. It would hurt her to know I was that way because of her number.

"Well, whatever it was, I hope it was worth it. Because I think you missed your practice as well because of it."

Shit. I did not go to practice yesterday, did I? My coach will rip me one, considering our first game is in a month.

"Also, if you were tired, I hope it wasn't for our project because I don't want to see you like that for a good grade. I rather fail than see someone miserable as you were."

Well, at least she isn't entirely high maintenance. She has a smidge of sense in her.

"Also!"

She slightly runs in front, stopping Inei in his steps. She leans forward with her hands behind her back, grinning as she speaks.

"You're going to the party with us tomorrow! I had your mom convinced to let you go last night while I talked to her."

Inei looks at her with big eyes, flames practically spitting out of them.

YOU WHAT?!

Inei works in his textbook, Yasu, Yui, and Chura watching his raging work effort, with Azami sitting in her chair apologetically and Aneko looking at things on her phone. The three girls turn their attention slowly to Azami and Yasu speaking.

"We tried to tell you he wouldn't be happy about it."

Azami hollers back at her.

"I didn't think he just wouldn't acknowledge us anymore!"

Aneko clicks something on her phone, then lets her arms fall, sighing.

"I don't know why you got permission from his mother. I wouldn't expect you to expect him to go, even with her permission. He doesn't even listen or talk to his mom! He's a nobody."

Yui looks at Aneko with frustration.

"You know, Aneko, that's not nice of you to say something so rude. If he were a no one, he wouldn't exist."

Aneko looks at her with rage-filled eyes, looking down upon Yui with her nose up.

"He practically doesn't exist! I bet he does not even want to!"

Yui furrows her eyebrows a little.

"Even if he doesn't so what? That doesn't mean he doesn't have a soul! His mom invited us to breakfast, and you did not even come! That was sweet of HER to do! The fact that you didn't come is insulting!"

Aneko turns her head with a grunt.

"I have no intentions of meeting a mother who raised such a ridiculous and depressing child."

Azami nervously tries to intervene.

"Now, you two, this is no place to be fighting."

Aneko looks at Azami with fire in her soul.

"You're one to talk. No one must ask which side you're on, lover of Inei!"

Inei stops writing for a moment, but no one notices. Everything gets quiet, and deep breathing softly reaches everyone's ears. Inei slowly looks up and sees tears in Azami's eyes as she does not back down from Aneko's rage. She tries to speak through her tears, her cheeks burning red.

"That's not...even true..."

Chura, Yasu, and Yui try to comfort Azami. Yui looks towards Aneko who has covered her mouth with her hand.

"You know, that was harsh. Azami always hears everyone out. Of all people, you should know that."

Aneko becomes shocked, then gets up and leaves without another word. Inei looks at the soft, crying Azami.

"I promise that's not what it is, Inei. I want to be friends."

Inei looks at her a little longer, then looks back down, writing some more. Azami slowly stops crying, a soft smile appearing on her face.

"You don't seem surprised. So, I'll leave it be and assume you trust me."

Yui hugs Azami.

"He would listen to the person who's been kind to him over the person who refuses to look at him."

Inei looks her in the eyes, all looking back at them. Inei's lips begin to part, and all their eyes glow. Then, Inei sneezes silently, grabs a tissue, wipes his nose, then starts working again. They all look at him angrily, and all begin smacking him and he tries to protect himself with his book, Azami yelling as he tries to defend himself.

"Even your sneezes are silent?!! I'm upset, and you pretend you'll talk!!"

Inei shoots his ball, and it goes through the hoop. The coach walks up to him, and Inei bows, seemingly apologizing for not attending the practice the previous day.

"You improved today, Inei. Good job."

The coach walks away without another word. Inei continues to bow, shocked that his coach has complimented him. He stands up straight and then turns to go into the locker room, changing, and on his way out, someone jumps out and scares him, making him fall over.

"Inei!"

He closes his eyes in fear, and when he opens them, he sees Yui standing before him with a smile.

"Oops! Sorry, I did not mean to alarm you. I'm just here to talk for a bit."

Inei looks at her, then gets up and starts walking.

"You know, I'll be honest, I don't see what Azami sees,"

Inei keeps walking, hearing her words as she walks beside him with her arms behind her back.

"But she seems invested in making you happy. It makes me happy to make other people happy, and if it makes her happy to make you happy, that's double good for me."

Inei thinks to himself for a moment.

You say "happy" too much.

Yui takes a piece of paper giving it to Inei.

"Here; it's my number. If you ever want to reach out, I got you."

Inei takes it and looks at her with a scolding look.

"I'm sorry if I made it seem like you're depressed! I don't know if you are, but I'm willing to be helpful if I can!"

She begins running off in a different direction.

"See you at the party tomorrow!"

Right. The party.

Inei sits in his bed, looking up at his ceiling with pondering.

The party. I don't want to go to the party.

A buzzing sound comes from his phone underneath the blankets. He pulls it out and sees a message.

A message from Azami? How did she get my number? And why is her contact created?!

He then thinks about what could have happened while asleep at school.

"Azami, what are you doing with his phone?"

Azami holds Inei's phone, looking at her bare contact in his phone. She pulls out her phone, copying down his contact into her phone.

"One of us must ensure he shows up to the party. So, I'll be the volunteer to hold his number."

Right. My imagination is more than likely exactly what happened since Azami had my bag when I was out of control.

Azami's message reads,

"Hey, sorry about today at the study ground. I hope Aneko didn't influence any thoughts you have. But anyway, I can't wait for the party tomorrow. I truly hope to see you there."

Inei looks at the message, then begins typing, then presses send.

"How did you even get my number?"

He waits to look at his phone for a moment. Then, a click rings from the phone.

"Oh my goodness! You respond to messages! That's good to know! I have my ways."

Inei responds.

"Did you ask my mother?"

"Believe it or not, no. But oh well, that's not important. You ARE going to the party, right?"

"I don't know; parties are not my thing."

"Even after all the effort I put into getting you to go?"

Inei waited a moment to respond, thinking about all she had done. She talked to his mother, and she helped him at home; Azami spoke to him daily to encourage him, and she became his friend.

"Fine. But only for a couple of minutes."

"Yay! I knew I could count on you! See you tomorrow!"

Inei does not respond, beginning to fall asleep ahead of time to catch it before he goes to the party.

It's time.

Inei dresses in a casual black shirt and jeans, preparing for the horrors of a party. He goes down the stairs to see, once again, four girls sitting in the dining room. Azami notices Inei, then stands up, waving.

"Inei! Sorry! We let ourselves in!"

Yui chuckles, twisting her hips to turn her both left and right.

"Even if we didn't come in, we would wait for you outside anyway. Azami put hard work for you to come, so we might as well hold you to it."

Chura puts a finger to her bottom lip.

"Well, honestly, you would have known a few minutes earlier if Yasu didn't convince Azami not to get you from your room as soon as we got here because she assumed you were not going."

Azami waves her hands in front of Chura, trying, but failing, to stop her speech.

"Don't listen to her! That never happened! Anyway,"

She stands with the three other girls, each willingly or not.

"How do we look? We wanted to dress nicely for a party!"

Inei examines each person. Azami is wearing a dark red shirt with a black skirt, silver glitter breaking through the black when light hits it. Yasu wears an unzipped jacket with a blue shirt and jeans. Chura is wearing a dark green skin-tight dress with a low-cut top. Finally, Yui wears a shirt the same color as her hair with a tied knot in the shirt at the hip, wearing denim shorts. After looking at them, Inei shrugs and walks past them, a beeping coming from outside. The girls look at each other and follow him. An incredibly customized and upgraded sports car sits outside the house. The girls examine it, Chura the most interested in it. They stand looking at it, then Inei approaches it, opening the door. They look at Inei sheepishly, then back to the sports car, then back at Inei. Azami then speaks.

"You're that quiet, and you drive, THAT?!"

Inei still stands with the doors open, waiting for them to enter. He nods slightly. The girls' eyes sparkle, and then they slowly get into the car, Azami in the passenger seat and the other three in the back. Inei closes the doors and gets in the driver's seat, turning on the car. Silence stands as he turns the car on. Inei then looks at the girls, confused. Azami speaks first, softly and unsure.

"Sorry if we are quiet but do forgive us for being speechless for a guy like you who doesn't talk driving such a loud car."

Chura then mumbles.

"A dream car at that, how can you afford this thing?"

Inei shrugs and begins driving to the party.

Upon arrival, the parking lot is almost full, the party is at a frat house, and the lawn and house look so full it could bust with people. Inei sees this and seems very hesitant. As he parks, he looks down with stress. They all get out of the car, smiles on the girls' faces and a nervous frown on Inei's. Azami notices and then speak.

"Hey, Inei, don't worry; we got your back. Right everyone?"

They both look behind them to find that they are alone. The other girls are all gone doing something. Inei's and Azami's faces flush, and they look at one another.

Please tell me you're not a college party virgin like me.

Azami slightly forces a smile.

"It's okay! It's okay! No need to panic! We got this!"

Azami walks onto the grass as frat members begin to notice and go to her.

"Woah! Hey, there, gorgeous! There must be a fairy around, because my wish for a pretty girl just got fulfilled!"

Azami stands for a moment, apparently horrified, and hides behind Inei. Inei stands there silently, the guys approaching him.

"Hey, where did the beauty go? Is she hiding behind your ugly self?"

Inei doesn't move nor speak, looking into the eyes of the guy.

The drunk man is in Inei's face now, the smell of alcohol radiating off his breath, making Inei's eyes water with the amount of alcohol from it.

"Hey! I'm talking to you, dork! Where is she?!"

At that moment, Inei closes his eyes and opens them wide. The drunk man looks into Inei's eyes with a little fear now, the intimidation and rage too much for the guy through Inei's eyes alone. He turns away, mumbling, and walks away. Azami looks around the side at Inei.

"Is he gone?"

Inei looks at Azami and nods. Azami sighs and then looks at Inei.

"You know what? Parties suck. Maybe we should try to get everyone and bring them with us, and we can have our party at my house? That way we can get around people like that."

Inei looks at Azami.

You know, it's still a party, but if I can get away with not having to do that with another frat guy, I'd be grateful.

Inei nods, then takes her hand, walking into the party. Azami follows in shock, then blushes with a smile and follows behind him. Walking through the house, they run into Yui, who happily enjoys the snacks. Azami shouts out.

"Hey, Yui! I have snacks at my house! Let's go!"

Yui notices the look on Inei and Azami's faces, then meets up with them in the crowd.

"I agree. You two would be happier away from these people. The food here is not that great anyway. Have you all found the others yet?"

Azami nods.

"We know where Chura is, Yui."

Inei looks at them both, who are exchanging a fearful look. They begin walking as Inei follows, finding Chura between a group of guys, flaunting her stuff. All three, Inei, Azami, and Yui, look in disgust. Azami mutters to Yui and Inei loud enough to be heard over the music.

"Follow the men, that's where you will find Chura."

Yui then walks over to Chura, leaning over and speaking softly to her.

"Chura, come on, let's get out of here."

Chura hears her, then apologizes to the boys, and then feeds through them, going up to Inei, then pulls his close and whispers in his ear.

"Just go along with it."

Inei tilts his head, then Chura clings to Inei's arm, her body pressed up against him.

"I only hang with guys who know when to shut their mouths, right, Inei?"

She looks at him with bashful eyes. Inei looks away with a flushed look, then begins walking away, Chura walking beside him. Azami and Yui follow behind them, talking to each other.

"Okay, one more person, the hardest one to remove."

Inei looks back at them slightly, listening.

"Maybe she hasn't made it there yet. Yasu is shy for a moment before..."

When they reach the dance floor, it's too late. The once-before shy and careful Yasu is now outgoing and careless, dancing her heart out on the dance floor. Inei looks on with disappointment, and her dance moves are not decent; the energy around her is full of joy, but everyone else is uncomfortable. Yui then sighs and grabs her arm, as does Azami with her other arm. Yui speaks to her.

"Come on, Yasu; we need to leave."

Yasu struggles to stay on the dance floor, causing a stir then Azami finally speaks up.

"We'll dance with you where we're going, Yasu! Just come on!"

Yasu's eyes sparkle, and she walks along with them. All five begin walking to an exit when Inei hears a familiar voice.

"Hey! Stop! Get your hands off me!"

He turns his head a tad, cornea shrinking. A group of guys surrounded Aneko, pure terror on her face as they closed in on her. Azami begins talking.

"So what should we do when we...get to my house?"

She stammers when she realizes that Inei has disappeared. All four girls look around, freaking out about where he could have gone. Inei breaks through the crowd, finally reaching Aneko and the five guys, breaking through them and getting between them and Aneko. Aneko looks at him in shock.

"Inei?! You came to a party?!"

As the frats stand there, a familiar face walks up, the frat guy from outside who tried to grab Azami walks to the front of them. He smirks evilly at Inei.

"Look at you, once again standing against me. You can't have all the ladies. And your little trick won't work on me this time. My whole group is with me, and you are not getting out of this the way you got here."

The guys grit their teeth fixing to attack Inei, grabbing Inei by the shirt, Inei showing no fear. Inei points at Aneko and points to her friends, motioning for her to run without the frat guys noticing. As she does, Inei slips out of the man's grip, then springs back up with a palm strike to the guy's chin. He then continues to use various strikes and parries on the four others, knocking all of them out and running to the five girls. The leader grabs Inei's arm and pulls him back.

"You are going to pay for this!"

Inei and the frat leader go back and forth, going blow for blow as some strikes land and don't on each other. Finally, Inei grabs the leaders fist, twisting his arm and elbowing down on it, breaking his elbow. Then Inei shoves the guy down and runs for his car where he plans to meet the girls. He continues to run past the girls who wait for him then follow him when he runs past. He unlocks his car causing Aneko to stop, taken aback by what she sees.

"AND he drives a sports car?! Azami, did you know about this?!"

Azami watches Inei get in the car quickly, able to tell the situation is urgent.

"That doesn't matter right now, Aneko! Just squeeze in the car! My house isn't too far away!"

Azami gets in the passenger seat as Aneko, Yui, Yasu, and Chura pile on each other in the back of the car. Inei reverses quickly, then steps on the gas, the sports car taking off.

They arrive at Azami's house, all six struggling to remove themselves from Inei's car. The first one out is Aneko, who walks a little off with her arms crossed and her nose up, trying to ignore them. The rest of the five look at her and then laugh at each other, excluding Inei, who looks forward, and they walk into Azami's house. A beautiful large home, a large kitchen, and a living room are the first rooms in apparel. Stairs led up to what seems to be a couple more rooms. All the girls look around in amazement as Azami stands next to Inei.

"So, what happened with Aneko that she ended up with us?"

Inei looks at her, then nods to Aneko, who stays outside, sitting with her knees tucked between her arms and head. Azami looks to Inei, then at Aneko, walking out to Aneko sitting beside her. At the same time Inei watches Azami confront Aneko, Yasu tugs on Inei's shirt.

"Azami promised that if we left, everyone would dance with me."

Inei looks at her, shocked momentarily, which turns into an uncomfortable look. Yasu points to a stereo system in the living room of Azami's house. Chura then blushes nervously, trying not to make eye contact with Inei with her hands on her cheeks and her blush pushing through them.

"Hey, Inei, I hope you didn't take me seriously back there, and I'm sorry if you did. We just needed a way out, and that was the only way."

Inei zones out into space, hearing Chura and Yasu talk to him about two different topics. Then suddenly, a piece of food enters his gaped mouth, eyes turning white.

"Here, you should try this, Inei! It will make you feel bubbly inside!"

More like making you puke at how sweet it is!

Inei forces down the sweet thing in his mouth, and Yui stands by his side with a big grin.

"It was a mochi! I'm not sure what kind, but it's good!"

I don't care what kind it was; it was too sweet!

Inei falls back, all three girls catching him and setting him down in a chair. They stand around him, examining him. Chura is the first one to speak.

"What do you think happened? Why did he pass out?"

Yui puts a finger to her bottom lip, looking up.

"Maybe the mochi was too sweet for his soul? I know he's bland, but there's no way it was that much of a difference; he drives a sports car."

Yasu smiles softly.

"This is probably the first time he's ever done something crazy like this, go to a party, run out so frantically, and speed off to a house with a bunch of girls. It could be he's just tired from dealing with this and freaked out beyond imagination."

Chura and Yui look at each other, then at Yasu. Chura speaks up.

"I rather go with Yui's idea. Sounds funny."

Both the girls laugh as Yasu sighs in disagreement while shaking her head. The front door swings open, and the three girls turn, astonished to see Aneko with tears filling her eyes, with a mad-looking Azami behind her.

Aneko sits on the sidewalk's edge, knees tucked between her arms with her head down.

"Aneko, what happened?"

Aneko looks up quickly, seeing Azami standing in front of her. Aneko looks down and to the side, trying to act tough.

"Nothing. Nothing happened."

Azami does not break her stare towards Aneko.

"One moment, Inei was with us, and one moment he was gone. Next, you come running past us, and he comes running afterward with a lot of yelling behind him. Something happened."

Aneko closes her eyes, tears splashing out of her eyelids.

"And so what if something did?! I escaped on my own!"

Azami squats down, looking straight at Aneko.

"You know, you don't have to accept him,"

Aneko smiles a tad going to look at Azami, then Azami slaps her. Aneko touches her cheek, taken aback by Azami's reaction.

"But you should thank him for whatever he did to protect you. With how much of a bitch you are to him, that should show you that he's truly a good person at heart and that he would go out of his way to help you. You should be ashamed of how you are reacting to him after what he has done. Go thank him and apologize."

Aneko's eyes become filled with more tears streaming down her cheek.

"It's not that I'm not grateful. I had gotten into that situation and put Inei through what he did, and for the way he acts, it is suspicious. He's not who I thought he was; Inei is less shallow than he lets on. There's something suspicious about him."

Azami's eyes flicker, then she stands, putting her hand out to Aneko.

"Regardless, you should at least thank him and be nice to him if he truly did something to help you."

Aneko nods with tears still falling down her face, taking Azami's hand, standing up and hugging Azami. Aneko then turns and walks towards the door, opening it slowly.

"Inei, I'm sorry for how I acted before, and I'm sorry I put you through what you had to do at the party! Thank you for helping me!"

Aneko yells this, then Yasu, Yui, and Chura look at her, putting a finger to their lips.

"Shhh! He's asleep!"

Aneko expresses anger, clenching her fists and pushing her arms straight down.

"So I embarrassed myself twice in one day for no reason?! Let me wake him up!"

Azami watches with a smile, the four girls wrestling, three trying to stop the desperate Aneko from waking Inei. Azami giggles, talking to herself.

"Welcome to the party, Inei. I know we are a lot to manage as a group,"

Inei sleeps heavily, a strand of droll coming out of his mouth; Azami gives a determined smile.

"But we will make you talk, one way or another. But now,"

Azami gets between the girls and sits, all the girls stopping and gathering around, grabbing a deck of cards, dealing them out to each other, and playing card games quietly as Inei sleeps. Azami speaks to herself in her mind.

Let's just focus on everyone getting along for now.
