Chapter 26 - 26

Chapter 26: Hatake's Shock

"I know," Qianye said, sitting on the edge of the bed and gently caressing Kurenai Yuhi's face. He knew that after today, if he didn't make things clear, he might not have another chance. He then said seriously, "Yuhi, are you willing to wait for me to grow up?"

"What do you mean by that?" Yuhi's cheeks flushed, and while she was happy, a faint sense of unease also arose.

"It's exactly what it sounds like, a confession," Qianye said with a smile.

"A… a confession?" Yuhi was dumbfounded. Joy, confusion, excitement, eagerness, worry… all sorts of emotions flickered in her eyes, finally leaving her mind blank.

"Yes, a confession," Qianye nodded.

"Are you serious about this? I'm seven or eight years older than you. And my temper isn't very good either; I have a lot of bad habits, like drinking late at night…" She blurted out all her flaws in one go.

"A woman three years older brings gold bricks, you know," Qianye chuckled. "As for other aspects, I don't consider them flaws. After all, no one is perfect, and I have my own flaws too."

Yuhi was startled. "What flaws do you have?"

He was young, handsome, exceptionally talented, and powerful. Except when facing Hiruzen Sarutobi, he was almost always calm and collected.

He was both composed and calm, yet not rigid, always managing to tease her to death.

He was like a seasoned veteran in love.

If there had to be a flaw, there was one: he was a playboy.

It seemed this brat, while liking her, was also entangled with that young girl from the Uchiha Clan.

"It seems you already know," Qianye's smile faded. Before Yuhi could react, he pulled her into his embrace and said softly, "For a long time to come, perhaps we will be separated, perhaps I will actively distance myself from you. I might even make you feel like a stranger."

"But please believe that no matter what happens, I will always be the me you know."

In another ten years, it would be the Fourth Shinobi World War.

By then, everything would be settled.

The next day.

Qianye awkwardly arrived at the agreed-upon location with Kakashi, a secluded mountaintop outside Konoha Village.

It was almost noon, and the sun was blazing.

Kakashi seemed to have arrived early and was already close to collapsing from the heat.

"You're so slow, junior," was the first thing Kakashi said after seeing Qianye.

"My apologies, Kakashi-senpai, I got lost on the road of life today," Qianye said, using the same perfunctory excuse Kakashi used for Naruto in Seventh Class, and casually tossed him a bottle of ice water.

Kakashi took the ice water, giving a look that said he wouldn't believe him for a second. He turned around, removed his mask, and chugged the ice water.

"How about this, as compensation, I'll treat you to lunch later. You can pick the place," Qianye continued.

"Then I won't be polite," Kakashi said, his back to Qianye. "Hokage-sama asked me to teach you a few suitable Ninjutsu. Have you tested your Chakra nature?"

"Lightning and Earth," Qianye concealed Fire, Water, Yin, and Yang.

Yin and Yang natures were beyond the scope of ordinary Ninja knowledge, so it was better not to mention them.

He had already learned Great Fireball Technique, Phoenix Flower, and Great Dragon Fire for Fire Release Ninjutsu, so Kakashi had nothing more to teach him.

Earth Release Ninjutsu, he couldn't conceal it since he had used the Earth Release: Headhunter Jutsu.

As for Water Release, Kakashi didn't have anything particularly powerful. Later, he could copy it from others using Shisui's right Sharingan.

As for Lightning Release, it was purely because he wanted to learn Kakashi's Chidori.

He couldn't expose four Chakra natures at once, especially with all of them having their nature transformation and variation pushed to the extreme.

Otherwise, that old man Hiruzen Sarutobi wouldn't be able to sleep.

"Two innate natures, huh? Not only Genjutsu, but also Lightning, which is only second to Wind in rarity. It seems you really are a genius," Kakashi put his mask back on and turned around. "So, have you decided what type of Ninjutsu you want to learn?"

Qianye pretended to think for a moment and said, "I specialize in Genjutsu. While it usually gives me a great advantage in combat, it's not very effective against Ninja like Kakashi-senpai, who have the Sharingan and can easily break Genjutsu. In such cases, I would be in a very passive situation."

"Therefore, I hope Kakashi-senpai can teach me a defensive Ninjutsu and an offensive Ninjutsu."

"For defensive Ninjutsu, I'll choose the B-rank Ninjutsu, Earth Release: Earth Flow Wall. As for offensive Ninjutsu, I think Kakashi-senpai's Chidori is quite good."

"You really have quite an appetite. It seems Yuhi has told you a lot about me," Kakashi's mouth twitched fiercely. "Earth Flow Wall is fine, but Chidori probably isn't."

"I'm not questioning your talent, but Chidori has a fatal flaw: it requires high-speed movement when attacking, and you might be counterattacked because you can't see clearly. It needs to be used with the Sharingan to be most effective. I can't teach you that."

"You don't have to worry about that, senpai. My innate dynamic vision is extraordinary, so that's not a problem for me. What's more, I'm not using it for direct attacks, but rather to supplement my attack power with Genjutsu," Qianye said calmly.

"I see," Kakashi realized. "In that case, let's begin. Let me tell you beforehand, Hokage-sama only approved one day for us. No, strictly speaking, we only have half a day left."

As he said this, he shielded his forehead with his right hand, looked up at the blazing sun, and added, "Which means I only have half a day to teach you. How much you learn depends on yourself."

"No problem, let's start," Qianye said.

For him, who had already mastered Earth Release Chakra nature transformation and Lightning Release Chakra nature transformation to the fullest, it was not difficult to master these two Ninjutsu.

Half an hour later, Kakashi looked at the giant earth wall behind Qianye, which even had his signature dog head carved into it, and then at the high-intensity current in Qianye's hand that was like a sharp blade. He instantly began to doubt his life.

"Learning a B-rank Earth Release Ninjutsu and an A-rank Lightning Release Ninjutsu in less than half an hour…" Kakashi's mouth twitched. "Um, I mean, are you a monster? If your eyes were normal, I'd suspect you had a Sharingan transplant."

"Haha… Senpai, you're quite a joker. I wouldn't dare to do that, nor do I have that kind of twisted hobby of digging out my own eyes to transplant a Sharingan. Of course, I'm not talking about you, since that was a gift from your dear friend," Qianye said with an awkward smile.
